Also, if you haven't, have a read through the FIMFiction writing guide. A lot of useful tips and tricks I like to go back to e.g. showing instead of telling. There's a lot of "She tells, he tells" in this chapter. Try writing what Pip saw instead of just what he did.

I was just doing this thing I noticed Books do, where they wait until a Character's Name is said, before The story adresses The Name of The Character.
Also, Snail's name is already mentioned in The Story.
