After being banished to the moon for thousand years, mysteriously, the moon is split in two. Celestia starts a space program to send ponies to the moon to investigate and find Luna. Twilight is chosen by Celestia to be an engineer and eventually she becomes a pilot ready to fly on the new Moongaze rocket. When the the gimbal on one of the boosters get stuck and the boosters fails to seperate, Twilight is forced to abort. She lands in sweet apple acres and makes a first of many friends in ponyville.
