If I am honest, that is a damn good first chapter. Good pacing, no spelling errors as far as I saw, and is engaging. It reminded me of german literature. I wish you good luck with the story.

Very good first chapter, I would personally chose the middle option as it allows a greater degree of freedom than the other two. The first is too obvious, and while being powerful is interesting it is also dangerous to be hunted. The third is arguably the worst, to be created means someone knows who you are. That person likely has the money or influence to keep you under their thumb or send people out to kill you if you become too dangerous.
This is a very intriguing idea you've started, I'll be watching.

This... this is a hard choice. The information given is enough to give us a choice so, good job on that Ninjachris. The choice that was made previously seems to have been different than I expected it to be.
Honestly, I would chose the grey mare. She seems to be in a position where she could do more than the others.
Also watching how you write in what happens to her child will be interesting.

I’m guessing that the film with different pictures in each square is memories, the broken heart held together by band-aids is Cupid’s repair, and the heart with the devil inside is lust. I’m guessing these are Cutie Marks.
The other three images are, in my opinion, representative of ‘boosts’ that we/the MC can get.
The first obviously grants an increase in power, but of what type I am unsure of (be it political, economic, physical, mental, arcane, or otherwise).
The picture of the Changeling (I’m going to refer to it as such because of their being more suitable) has and the words ‘spy friend’ leads me to believe that we’ll/the MC’ll have a friend, ally or acquaintance who’s in possession of spy training and is thusly able to... creatively enter areas they otherwise wouldn’t be allowed into if selected. And may act as an impromptu, if most likely not-entirely-willing, assassin.
The Key and Skull image and the words ‘every key’ have me coming to the conclusion that a skeleton key (or something similar) will come into the MC’s possession. Note that ‘every’ can be stretched extremely far, to the point that it could include EVERYTHING! Meaning it could work like the Elder Scrolls artefact known as ‘The Skeleton Key’.

So far a think the MC is less of a creature and more of a supernatural madness, it seems like most of are powers and goals will be the spread of this madness. That in mind I think the cupids repair and spy friend would be the most useful
So we have memories and power, interesting combo.
If you use power to super charge memory you may be able to overclock your mind think faster make memories of things that could happen. Not the best synergy for this, the key would have been better, with the base of a mind power plus the key to everything equals the way to enter and alter others memories. But memory and power, if you use it right you could overwrite another person’s mind with your own but keep their memories intact. Similar to doctor bright, Scp foundation, has immortality amulet that steals bodies for him. Another thing it could end up a hive mind thing if done right. Wait what’s our goal here? Revenge? Retribution? Justice? Regardless this combo seems like a long build but oh would it be worth it 😈. Love the story so far, and sorry for the word dump, I just get too many ideas if given the proper start 😅

True that, but this is why we experiment, to find all the wrong ways to do a thing so we finally find the ways to do it right. Ok an easier idea, try to manifest one objects image from memory, then work your way up from there, ex mass taste smell feel etc, until you can manifest original ideas like make a sword appear from pure thought. There are a lot of ways to abuse the strength of a powered up mind.

Ok reread it and found a lest one detail I missed, the one that the ring is stuck to him, and possible regeneration ability from it not to sure on that. But if that is the case then Learn a self hypnosis technique that lets you activate hysteria mode, increasing physical power output and causing extreme muscle building due to damage and healing from it.

Ok looking again the only description of the ring is ‘more power’ that ... can be interpreted in a lot of ways like the MAGIC power stealing, emphasis on magic because there is more that one type of power and depending on their morals that opens and closes a lot of doors, the power of soul for instance. steal life from others and gain the boost of a larger/more potent soul... could you theoretically for ascend to alicorn if you gain enough soul and magic of different types, or would you end up with a draconequus because of the diversity of power... those are future us’s problem for now 😆
