Wood + Fire = ...more Fire. Crap.

E

Sky Asp went searching for treasure to prove to his future mate that he’s a qilin worth his fire.

Instead, he discovers the cave of a dragon — the last dragon in existence. And in that cave is something worth far more than any amount of treasure he could possibly find.

Well, that's.... deserving the sad tag alright. I'm not a fan of stories about dying, probably because it reminds me of its inevitability, but it was a nice portrayal of an older, maturer Spike. The idea of the world moving on as well, with entire species changing stage drives home the impermanence of, well, everything.

I didn't like this story.

But it was a good one.

I'M NOT CRYING INTO MY DINNER, YOU'RE CRYING INTO YOUR DINNER.

Even if you weren’t a fan of it, thank you for taking the time to read this story anyway. I appreciate it.

Great but sad story.

Wonderful, it made me cry, the only other story that made me cry in the end was Grief Is The Price We Pay.

Oh... oh my. I didn't expect to cry. Now my hot chocolate is all salty. :fluttershysad:

Well then, Author, I extend my most authentic of "how-dare-you's" to you. It is not often I find a Spike story that deals with his end in such a... somber manner. It's beautiful, thoughtful, and I hate the way that right in the middle of a sentence is right where you'll find yourself sobbing. Beautiful.

Kudos, and a place in my library. Much love from one dragon enthusiast to another.
