Fluttershy sounds like me when I went to my first full scale concert. Coldplay's Head full of dreams tour in Las Vegas. Before the concert, I would never have considered myself a concert person. I've only been to independent shows by my stepdad. But it was always too loud for my taste. I've always loved Coldplay but never considered seeing them live. That changed when I heard a live performance on Sirius XM when I was on my Sirius free trial. I thought it sounded amazing! I thought I had to see them in person! During that show, I immediately looked online to see if they were coming to my area. They were, but the only tickets left were $100. I had way more than enough to buy it, but I didn't have a job yet. I was interviewing around for one, but had no luck. So I initially decided not to go. The next day, I got a job offer. I went right back to the site and bought the ticket. Not only was it a band I loved, but I thought it would be a great way to end the job search. The show was jaw-dropping. I could not believe how amazing it was. If you ask my family, they will tell you I have not stopped talking about it since I got home that night. The sound was amazing, and they did things with lights that I never knew you could do. And I studied tech theatre in high school! They even gave everybody plastic light bands that lit up with the show. With that, you really felt like you were connected with everybody in the room. And the people I talked to around me were amazing too. The couple to the right of me drove down from LA to see it because tickets were cheaper. And we really hit it off talking about Coldplay and how amazing the albums are. It felt so amazing to talk about their music in ways I never could because I don't have any hard-core fans and my family. Then, halfway through the show, the guy to the left of me leans over and asks me what my shirt size is. I tell him, and he leaves and comes back with a shirt for me. I don't know what proposed him to do it, but it was a really nice gesture that I was grateful for. I tried to ask him after the show why he did it for me, but I never got a chance to talk to him. he was gone almost instantly after the lights came up at the end. Nevertheless, it was a night that I will never forget. And I will definitely be going to more concerts after that night.

Yeah, I know that feeling. First metal show I went to and I was happy to be right in the front row...

until i realized i forgot my earplugs and I was standing right in front of a 10 foot tall wall of speakers.

This could be a fun series....Fluttershy goes to different rock concerts. :D

An original story premise, very nice. There's been other stories of taking Fluttershy outta her element and she actually ends up enjoying it, but I think this is the first for a rock concert.

A few grammar mistakes, but a very good fic overall.

The last bit, where Fluttershy faces the "consequences" of the concert, was a good laugh and also a good way to show that there was a bit of a downside to the concert. I guess Scootaloo is more used to loud music and wasn't affected as badly (I hope)?

Heh, on a minor note though, Scootaloo knows Fluttershy had been to a stadium. Afterall, they were both at the stadium for the Equestria Games (which Fluttershy even participated in. Funny how she seemed to forget that. :twilightsheepish:

That happened to me at a music festival in town. My Aunts are assholes.
