The Evil Queen’s Castle
The Lab
In the creepy lab, the Witch stirred the cauldron with a huge bone while the raven looked. Poor Starlight still had a neck cuff with a chain around her neck, as the witch cackled at her handiwork.
“Boil, cauldron, boil,” She said. “Boil, cauldron, boil!”
The liquid in the cauldron turned yellow, as smoke shaped like skulls appeared.
“Death within thy depths I see, for one who dares to rival me.”
The witch held a test tube with blue liquid. Dropping it in the cauldron, the contents became blue.
“Brew the magic recipe, boil, cauldron, BOIL!” She yelled, as a large cloud of smoke appeared.
She grabbed an ordinary apple attached on a string, slowly dipping it into the brew.
“Dip the apple in the brew. Let the Sleeping Death seep through!”
The witch drew the apple back and it was covered in the strange brew. She wickedly smiled, as the apple suddenly had a skull on the front.
“Look! On the skin! The symbol of what lies within.”
The raven covered himself with his wings in fear. Starlight couldn’t help but feel frightened seeing the skull-shaped apple. And then, the apple became as red as blood.
“Now, turn red… To tempt Snow White. To make her hunger for a bite,” She chuckled.
(Pause at 0:32)
The disguised queen faced the raven, showing him the apple.
“Have a bite?”
Scared, the raven tried to back away as the witch chuckled. But then… She pulled the apple from the bird, eyeing her pony captive. Tension rose for Starlight as the witch came closer and quickly shoved the apple to her, like lightning.
“How about you? Have a bite?!” The witch asked.

Starlight screamed in terror and tried to escape, but the chain and collar around her neck made it impossible. The elderly woman brought the apple close to her, intentionally scaring her. She cackled in amusement at the sight.
“It’s not for you,” The witch said, with venom. “It’s for Snow White.”
(Pause at 0:39)
“Why?” Starlight asked, trying to reason with the Queen. “Why do you want to kill your own stepdaughter? Whatever did she do to you?”
“She did plenty of wrong in my eyes,” The queen answered. “She stole my beauty.”
“Is that what’s so important to you? Being beautiful for every pony and whoever’s more beautiful than you dies?!”
“Yes! My radiance is the only light this kingdom needs.”
“And you prove that by disguising yourself as an ugly witch and killing her with an apple?”
“I won’t stay ugly for long, once I erased Snow White and every living thing who dare challenge me from the face of the planet.”
“It won’t work.”
The witch’s eyes went wide at Starlight’s three words.
“What did you say?”
“I said it won’t work! Subjects don’t praise their queen for their beauty, it’s the things they do like kindness, loyalty and bravery. With the way you described your stepdaughter, I think she’s proven to be more queen in her personality than you in your body!”
“You dare challenge a queen?!” The witch ask, with hate and rage.
Insulted, the Witch grabbed the chain and dragged Starlight forcing her to look at her frightening face while the raven cawed loudly. Her horrifying green eyes seem to stare straight into the unicorn’s soul.
“I would kill you right this instant for such an insult!”
Starlight tried to keep a straight face, but the sight of the witch frightened her. And then, the Witch released the chain shoving her back.
“But that can wait and that magic of yours won’t work for a few hours. I have great plans for you and your friends. Their beauty combined evenly matches with Snow White.”
“My friends will stop you!” Starlight spat.
“Not if your friends can’t recognize me,” The witch said. “Neither will Snow White.”
(Continue music)
“Just imagine,” The witch spoke, eyeing the apple. “When she breaks the tender peel to taste the apple in my hand, her breath will still, her blood congeal. THEN I’LL BE FAIREST IN THE LAND!”
The witch cackled loudly, as Starlight trembled in fear. But then the witch stopped as if she thought of something.
“But wait!”
Starlight became very interested, wanting to know what else the Queen had to say. The witch, in turn, was in deep thought.
“There may be an antidote; nothing must be overlooked.”
The witch approached her book, searching through a few pages till she found what she feared.
“Oh! Here it is!”
“Well, well, well,” Starlight smirked. “Seems there might be a chance to stop you after all.”
“SILENCE!” The witch snarled, angrily.
The witch turned back to reading the page titled ‘Poison Apple Antidote’.
“The victim of the Sleeping Death can be revived only by Love’s First Kiss.”
“A kiss from the one you love?” Starlight asked herself. “Is that possible?”
But even after reading that, the Witch didn’t believe there was such a thing.
“Love’s First Kiss… Bah!”
She slammed the entire book shut while she laughed. The witch faced her again, making Starlight very uncomfortable.
“No fear of that. The dwarfs and the ponies will think she’s dead. SHE’LL BE BURIED ALIVE!”
The cackled very loud and evilly, the raven hid behind a skull. The witch placed the apple in a basket with green and normal apples, cackling even more as she lifted the load. Then she approached Starlight, unlocking the lock for the chain with a key. She proceeds to pull Starlight along like a dog on a leash.
“Come along, dearie,” The witch said.
“No! Let me go!” Starlight cried.
Starlight tried to break free without success. The witch cackled while dragging Starlight towards a trapdoor on the floor. The raven watched from behind the skull.
“BURIED ALIVE!” The witch yelled.
She cackled while closing the trapdoor slowly. The witch dragged Starlight deeper through the dungeons to the catacombs. She opened a cell with a key, hurling Starlight inside and attaching the chain to a wall again. She cackled as she locked the cell door placing the key in her pocket.
“Remember, girl,” The witch spoke. “Your magic won’t work for the next few hours, I won’t tell. You’ll never get out, not even to warn those friends of yours. There’s a possibility you’re going to die in this cell when I return… IF I return.”
The witch cackled and turned toward a skeleton on the ground. It appeared to reach for an empty jug of water inches away. Starlight saw the corpse and cringed in shock.
“Thirsty?” The witch asked, mockingly. “HAVE A DRINK!”
She kicked the jug toward the skeleton, smashing it to pieces. The witch cackled more while a tiny spider crawled out of the jug. Starlight was more frightened, as she watch the witch enter a raft and used a large pole to steer it.
“Wait! NO!” Starlight shouted, shaking the bars. “Please, you can’t do this!”
But the witch neither looked back or answered. She was gone while Starlight sat alone in the dark, creepy cell which possibly meant her death. She feared that thought yet felt helpless and scared, the most she has felt in her life. All she could do now is sit with her haunches on the cold floor, looking down in despair and her face in her hooves crying.
“No… My friends,” Starlight cried. “They’re out there somewhere and there’s nothing I can do to help. I’m sorry, Twilight… I’m sorry…”
Outside, in the dark of night, the witch emerged through the catacombs steering the boat toward shore. A heavy mist covered the land, so thick no one could see anything, but this was no match for the witch. She popped out from the reeds, pressing further toward the one who dares rival her.
All we can hope is that our dear girl and pony heroes will be fine…
8195024 That can be good.
8195033 How did you read my mind? Are you sure you're not psychic?
I hope Starlight can get out to warn them.
I prayed that Starlight Glimmer will get through this madness and warn Twilight and her friends about the witch gives Snow White the poison apple. I hope Starlight Glimmer will stay in Twilight's group for more Disney adventures or not.
8195055 This is just a suggestion, but for the Cinderella story, you could have whatever mlp characters that are featured in that one, shrink to the size of mice, because I doubt they would be able to hide easily if they were full size. And you could have Lucifer constantly attempt to eat them too.
8195055 I'm not. I didn't know you were thinking the same.
8195053 Thought you'd like it.
Dude, you brought in a scene that was cut from the original with the Witch, one that was fully animated and colored and ready to go! What an incredible touch of detail!
I alway wonder why Disney cut the scene where the Evil Queen use ingredients to create the Sleeping Death?
Oh, man! Starlight Glimmer is trapped in a dungeon! She's gotta get outta there somehow, and warn Twilight and the others! And fast!
Keep on going!
8195176 Actually, I'm very happy you said it. Only a true Disney fan knows those things.
8196246
8196246 I'm a true Disney fan, too.
8197036 Absotively Posilutely.
8196246 Also, you should have the two join the whole adventure, not in the middle.
FIY, I'm still busy with the next chapter and the chapter of another story, but during that time I took the generosity to add some pictures in some of the chapters like in 'Where Are We?', 'Animal Friends/Whistle While You Work' and 'Curious, Tricked and a Disguise'. 'A Book?' might possibly contain one or two too.
Me, too.

She was mentioning both Snow White and the ponies.
Oh, I recognize this part!

It's a deleted scene from the movie.
Much like greed, jealousy can poison a person’s soul turning them into something they aren’t… But in this case with Grimhilde, her desire to kill Snow White would reveal not only her true colors but the true person that she is (Even if it took a potion to do it). We often question The Queen’s motivation, not just in the case of the movie, but the entire source material. The queen to me is not the type who appears driven by power or fueled with a desire to keep Snow White from assuming the throne, she merely wants to drive her stepdaughter out of life just because she claims to have stolen her beauty. Course, you’d surprise of all the things the Queen would do to put Snow White out… One deleted concept was the use of a comb.
And of all the ponies to be the one to point out The Queen’s flaw with the moral, it would be Starlight Glimmer herself. Fans can say what they will about Starlight and all the mistakes she may have made, but she made a good point over the argument that what a woman needs for praise is beauty. It’s one thing to look your best on a presentation scale, but like all natural human beings it isn’t how one appears to be judged. It’s based on one’s actions and their personality, two things that Snow White has clearly proven that she excels at than the Queen. If anything, I would agree Snow White would make a better queen in the near future… But we’ll get to that later.
Good thing for Starlight Glimmer that Grimhilde is too focused on her pursuit of Snow White to do a thing to the imprisoned mare. Of course, even if the Apple were to work to its full effect, there’s still the matter of an antidote that ‘True Love’s Kiss’ will break the curse. Today, this tactic would be considered questionable at best wondering how a kiss, particular from the man who loves the fair maiden, when there’s either a piece of the apple still inside her or how it seemingly eradicates the magical effects of deep slumber (But then I’m reminded that this is a fantasy and I didn’t write this stuff the Grimms did). Bad news for Starlight: She has to spend the rest of this story locked and chained in one of the queen’s cells, with no magic to aid in her escape (And to think it would’ve been Florian). If she’s to be included in any further installments of the Disney Chronicles, I hope she went through a ton of therapy after this experience… Then again, she’ll have been a Guidance Counselor eventually but that’s beside the point.
Notes: Surprisingly I don't have a lot of notes for this chapter. I was going to bring up the thing about how the cast will think Snow White is dead and 'they'll' be buried alive when Snow White would have already bitten that one apple and gosh knows if the Queen would've had the time to kill the ponies... But I think we'll both agree I'm thinking too hard on this.
