Ruins of the Present is centered around a character named pixel who is thrown into an unknown facility that Is under 10,000 ft. of water. The only pieces of information he has, have been given by a sentient-broken robot that believes it is a pony named Lyra Heartstrings and...a few "others". Armed with little information and a familiar companion, they explore the ruins in order to make it to an even worse wasteland.

Hey, for those that are reading this story I would like to point out a couple things. I am desperately trying to release a chapter a month but college is becoming a nuisance. I plan on releasing chapter 3 in a month but who knows what life will throw at ya. Also, for grammar people, I recognize it isn't that great and Chapter 2 is going under heavy revisions to make the chapter coherent and concise. Stick with me a bit longer and I promise to do my best.
This chapter took a bit since holidays got in the way and I lost half of the document and was forced to rewrite it. EITHER WAY, thank you for reading so far.
I would consider renaming this story and maybe working on the description. The first impression I got is that it's just retelling the plot to SOMA with everyone replaced by pony characters, which doesn't strike me as much of a story concept, but going by the latest chapter it's clearly doing more than that.

I ironically wanted to make it a soma parody. But as I realized the world I had in mind, I put a meaning to it and branched off from the main plot of soma. I want to make him reach the above world and eventually defeat something that he neglected. I just like the idea from fallout equestria that's has characters from the show and then their subsequent demise.
