I wonder who it can be.
This is forming up to one of Julius Caesar's battles against the Gauls.
My guesses are the Winged Hussars, Vikings, or the Lost Army of Cambyses.
...I hope sparta.
Templars?
Oh is it knights of the holy crusades?

Maybe the Ottoman Empire? Idk, but I'm so excited 'n' stuff!
This is your story; if you feel the need of it being rushed or time consuming, that's on you. If you're going to take a while, at least alert your followers or onlookers with updates or delays on it; Never leave them out of the loop.
If you want to rush this, I recommend planning and writing the story first and getting it edited before releasing it. That way, you don't have to try to come up with an idea of what the next chapter is going to be when you just finished the previous one. So, too late for that idea. Lol
7810662 i know i took the inspiration for this siege from one of 'historis civilis' videos on youtube
Hmmm... something from the Crusades?
The Mongols, I hope. Perhaps lead by one of the sons of Genghis Khan?
Spartans or templars plz
Is it Vikings?
7810962 i was gonna pick that but changed ma mind
Either a large Viking army from the sea.
A large templar army in the deserts
The future summons might be a civil war battalion from the Union.
And if summons keep coming in, a whole battalion of Nazis who had decided to surrender to Allies and marched west
7811134 Those last two might be a little too OP at this point in the story.
I hope its either Spartans, Mongols, Vikings or Aztecs, eeyup threw them in too
Tercios!!!!!!!!!!
7811134 no gunpowder armies
SPARTANS!!!!!
If I had to make a new guess for something that could make the equestrians retreat out of fear, then I guess the Egyptians are coming for those damn anthro's pelts.
7811183 then just Viking raiding party at sea or the Crusaders in the Badlands
You should bring hannibal from carthage with his war elephants that would make the equestrians crap themselves
How about 10000 words chapters everyday *.*?
It still doesn't make any sense for all these armies to work together given their radically different timeframes, cultures, etc. Also for them to be DOING BETTER THAN THOSE WITH MAGIC AND SUPER STRENGTH AND FLIGHT.
All if it's based on contrived convenience.
7811627 shoosh child this is fanfics it's not supposed to make much sense, plus the magic is gonna give equestrians an advantage but there haven't been many fights that involved unicorns so it hasn't appeared yet
I dont want to sound like a narcissist but maybe an Arab Bedouin Tribe? Back in the day we used to be ruthless raiders but also great merchants. By the dawn of Islam and the beginning of our expansion we struck fear into the hearts of the Persians and Byzantine. Maybe an army lead by Khalid Ibn Al Walid? He and his army fought against a Roman legion outnumbered and still came out victorious (Battle of Yarmouk). Though maybe not but it's my guess. I can name other similar armies such the Mamlukes.
7811884 good idea
The Spartans, Templars, or just some modern day military squad
7812095 no armies with major uses of gunpowder weapons
7812125 if you go with greeks at some point please dont use the versions we se in the 300 movies
7812125 what about ww1 soldiers?
I hope Blueblood dies. Imagine the nobles reaction when they realize that they are not safe from humans, that they once considered slaves, taking revenge on them for the abuse they once endured. Also, since it will most likely end in the ponies defeat with that idiot in charge, I wonder how many cities that have slaves will rise in revolt. If Spartacus was any indication the ponies will soon be dealing with a very large, equipped, and angry army of humans reinforced by the slaves all around them. How many slaves are we talking about in comparison to the equestrian population anyway? If we are following the examples of the Romans and the American South the slaves would have to outnumber the ponies by a considerable margin.
Sounds like a water downed version of the Siege of Uxellodunum.
