That was a really great story so far, I think you have already improved a lot! That being said - I think there are still a few more ways to improve it a bit. At least the idea I had way maybe write about the dream sequence from the beginning - I think it would set up the story a lot better and would add some more character to Luna.
Second any time you add discord you have a huge chance for some interesting stuff to happen. Don't just have him come in, say a few things, then leave. Have him come in, drink the table, eat a lamp, float around, turn Luna's mane to cotton candy, and so on, use your imagination to add some details and fun to the story.
All in all I'm looking forward to reading more, good job with this so far!
