Hardly a new concept where it's revealed Celestia stole the egg to ensure the prophecy of Twilight hatching it and becoming the element. However, it's rather decently written so I'll keep tracking this.

These last two chapters weren't going to have anything really new, just telling the story from Spike's point of view instead of Twilight's so that everyone gets both sides of the story before moving on. Also if you remember in "The Journal" Twilight did notice, but she was too preoccupied to react.

Personally, I think Spike’s reasoning for being mad at Twilight is a bit half-baked. He knows how much Twilight cares for him, abd I don’t think he’s accept that or was all a lie just like that. I would say this causes Spike to AT LEAST confront her about what she’s saying. He’d get angry. Not run off.
Like this:
“Do you even hear yourself, Twilight?! You’re JUSTIFYING. The KIDNAPPING. Of a CHILD.”

The elements of harmony or disharmony. i jsut don;t see why the Elements would wind up starting a war in sucha way to start things off like they did.

Well, Lennox continues to act like a manipulative slimeball. "You've already come this far, the only option is to 100% agree with me and leave! There is nothing else!"
And the new stallion manipulating Spike...
And the constant insistence you must be on his side or nothing can be accomplished.
Honestly, I do think that Lennox is pretty sincere, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't pressure Spike in somewhat... unfair ways, you know? This with-me-or-against-me attitude, and hopefully there is another answer.
Like, this scene we see Spike has some memories, but not necessarily memories of Celestia attacking. It could be anyone.
I do think it's good the story is uh... building tension he might be right, but not throwing "he's right, Celestia's a tyrant" into our faces. The character is doing that, and I think that's clear.
A lot of this story seeks a bit forced. Nothing that a good beta reader can’t fix though.
At least Lennox knows something is up with Corona.
Lennox is stuiped if all she wanted was power than why did so not try to conquer the dragon lands instead of just wanting the one egg
This is very interesting for sure. I do wonder how this will play out. I think Spike is right, with what has come to light things have changed. I think his feelings towards his friends and Twilight wont change, he can't blame them for something they had no part in. But Celestia..... that is a different story. I can see him not even outright 'hating' her or wanting revenge. But he could never trust her, or even the tree again. I mean how could he. The tree weighed the lives of countless ponies and dragons alike and decided that a war was worth it getting what it wants. That is super messed up. It put its ideal and wants above all others. And things like this would just rattle Spike to his core. I think his life with the ponies would have taught him enough to not blindly hate like some dragons would but that doesn't mean he would blindly forgive. Twilight and Spike's relationship is the REALLY interesting thing. Unlike Spike who feels wronged in all of this, Twilight doesn't. She can't understand that at least not beyond the facts. She believe Celestia isn't the blame since she wasn't in control, and couldn't do anything about it. Which has SOME level of truth for sure but does that make the whole thing right or make a simple sorry okay.... no it doesn't. Even if she wasn't acting on her own will she still DID the deed and it just seem that no pony want to say that it wasn't worth it in order to create the Elements. I think no matter what happens Spike could never hate or be mad at Twilight but this is something that Spike might not be able to just go back and act like everything is okay. And who knows if his body catches up to his REAL age he will be at least the size of a teenage drake as well. There is just so much mystery in where this will go but I can't wait to see where it does all fall

I agree. Spike is in a very interesting position. The mental conflict in this story is definitely its highlight. Personally, considering what we now know about the Tree from a certain S8 episode, a talk with it will be in order.
