Pretty good read I must say
However...
My advice to you is to not repeat somethings or in other words, "less is more". I pretty much get whats going on in the story no need for further words on some parts

The characters are developed well through this chapter especially Dashe

'The right to remain silent' doesn't mean that they cannot talk to a police officer, the right to remain silent means that they can not answer to questioning by the officer. The perpetrator can speak, anything they do say will be noted and used as evidence in the court of law. An officer outright attacking her for speaking, after he had just given those rights, is in the wrong and he can be suspended.
PLUS, they wouldn't assume that she were an accomplice, more-so a hostage,considering she was never spotted or identified at whatever crime scene.
