I liked this. Well written, good structure, and great way of showing what you think of Redheart's personality. I thought it was interesting that you mentioned she had ADHD, and the student loans too; more things for people to be able to associate with her. The only thing I would say is an error:
By canon, she is an earth pony, but if you intended for her to be a unicorn, then that's okay because it's your story.
Overall this was a very enjoyable read. It is true when you said in your Author's note that a simple "thank you" can go a long way.
