Please... please get rid of the "Cake is a Lie" joke. That stopped being funny and became irritating about five minutes after Portal 2 came out. It's like using "20% cooler," it's a mark of an amateur author.

Actually, it was Twilight that turned herself into an alicorn. Celestia gave her Starswirl's book and mentally prepared her for her next step in the other dimension, but Twilight did the actual transformation by casting Starswirl's completed spell.
