Well, it's certainly addicting her by directly stimulating her reward centers. But that's pretty common with dark magic, it seems. Not any worse than Spike's little give-rarity-the-evil-book fiasco, so far. If it was brainwashing her, it'd be forcing her to accept what she thinks as false to be true, but it most definitely is truly predicting the future, so who can say if it's entirely malicious?
