Though the battle was not long, that didn't mean that Celestia didn't still feel the wounds of her sister's betrayal. But as she walked from the ruins of the castle, fires spread from the torches knocked over and magic that had been expended, thoughts came to her about what happened that night. And her doubt started to shift inside her wondering if her sister was truly to blame...

This.... just this.

You capture the thoughts and emotions of Celestia beautifully: the way she goes from hatred, to despair, to blaming herself (although, I would have like to have seen this faze be a little bit more in depth, it ended up being a good balance).

One minor thing I saw:

As she her eyes, Celestia’s gaze was met by a broken reflection from a small puddle beneath her.

"As she her eyes"
I think a verb or something is missing

Amazing. How Celestia first thinks, it is Luna's faulth and then she has to realize, it is her faulth. Also awesome that Luna is the one, who pulls the strings.

Are you going to write any more stories for this idea? You could certainly find more ways to expand this concept. I kind of wish this was canon.
