My name is Winter. I am a griffin brought by a goddess to a world of magic with no goal in mind, but that doesn't stop me from creating enough chaos to make discord blush and having a kid..

Wow...he's even more blood thirsty than Griffin! Already he's racking up a bigger body count than Griffin had in three chapters!
Amazing. Thank you for doing what I wanted to do to the diamond dogs since day one. Also nice use of magic and Latin words of power
good
I will try to get one chapter out every two days.
Good but you keep saying fallowed its followed. A lot of misspells, you should get und editor!
If you ever meet Griffin, or Zeta, you stole a lot from them. I'm sure they'd be happy to take it back. Especially since Zeta did the same thing you just did birde.
The idea of this kind of magic is just pure dumb. All you need is just so say the words? Then everybody can do magic just by carrying around a freaking spellbook. No skills needed or practice.
5748125 You need to know the language: Latin. You need to realize sentences in latin and remember the spells and have the magic required, seems pretty hard to me. (Mostly cause I'm a lazy bum who can't be bothered learning another language.
fallow and follow are two different words good sir.
5943882 honestly, in terms of sheer impossibility, they are pretty much equal. Grown dragon for an adult, multiple dd's for a five year old.
The amount of homophone errors in this story drives me more than a little crazy. Fallowed instead of followed, seen instead of scene and that's just in this chapter.
I must say this isn't really anything special thus far. It has all the usual elements of wish fulfillment or a self-insert, including magic working with no training and less than 48 hours of experimentation, jerkass main character that isn't that bad really, an expert in whatever skill deemed necessary, or at least 'good enough'... And above all, nothing yet is especially attention-grabbing that sets this apart from well-written, similar stories.
Sorry, but this stretches credibility beyond reason. Even at an angle, a 22LR would travel maybe a maximum of like two miles. Four miles, in woods, with a headshot? Nope.
This is adorable
LOL~ The old world language became words of power, wonder if he'll ever say Brisingr as a joke
Are you fucking kidding me?! The longest rifle shot ever was 1.54 miles, and that was only viable with intense military training and a British-made L115A3 sniper rifle, not to mention he needed help calculating distance, bullet drop, wind, and enemy movement to be able to hit his target. In fact, the target was 3,200 feet beyond the official range of his rifle. The guy got taken out by a body shot. No way are you going you get anything as precise as and eye, even on a deer.
Article here.
You did not mention your dad before now aside from when you said your parents left you. Given the description you gave at the start of chapter one, it seemed like your dad wasn't even present, perhaps dead, perhaps run away due to the fear of raising three children, most likely dead, but not present in your life either way.
Being a hunter myself, this pisses me off. Give me a fucking break, I won't even begin to explain how impossible this is. I will say this though:
policestateusa.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/22caliber-size.jpg This is a .22 LR round - theoretically these rounds can travel in excess of 1.5 miles, but the actual act of getting these tiny pea shooter rounds that far is an entirely different story. They start dropping at around 100 yards. The amount of compensation for this round would be absolutely insane at one mile, let alone four, even before taking into account wind fluctuations, Coriolis etc.
The .22lr is dubious at best at taking a fox down at over 100 yards, let alone a damn buck.
Now take the .22, which is even smaller than a .22 LR round
I don't know why this one part annoyed me so much. But either way this entire story is one huge cringe fest.
A .22 doesn’t even go 1 mile. Much less 4. Just saying. However, it is possible to shoot a deer in the eye, so I won’t deny that. I will deny a buck being in a herd of 1000 though. Also, have you ever actually been hunting? I’m just curious. I enjoy it a lot. I got my first deer on the first day I held a 243. I shot it between the eyes, and split the spine. It was awesome. Great story so far! Besides a few mistakes.
Actually, Latin isn't one of the ancient languages. Sanscript, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and even the ancient Greek language outdated Latin.

I'm not a hunter, but a shooter. 22 rounds couldn't kill a deer. And they shouldn't either. If I was hunting again, I would use my 308.
The MC is so edgy that he is an octagon
