I'm not much into the whole 'paranormal investigation' stuff, but you write a great story. I await the next addition.
Very well done, Now I have to wonder, did/do you ever watch these types of shows, such as Ghost Hunters with TAPS or some other show, or have you actually experienced anything like this. It's always interesting to hear where people get their source of inspiration.

Yes I've watched Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures and a few other shows similar to these. Some of there methods I've interpreted in here such as Zak Bagans' (of Ghost Adventures) method of intimidating spirits to make them interact like Rainbow Dash did in the second chapter. And I also have experienced spiritual activity in my house. A long time ago my family and I experienced demonic entities in our old farm house. That was a long time ago but now in a different house, we experience what we think is residual hauntings. So all in all I tried to take what I experienced and stuff I've seen and put that together to make this story as realistic as possible.

I do have to say that Zak's tactic does fit RD's personality quite well, however that can be quite dangerous; it's kind of like playing Russian Roulette where the gun only has two chambers and the only one playing is you. Also, you may want to make sure that it is residual haunting and not a new haunting all together [Unless you didn't move that far away from your old place]. I've actually had my own dealings with demonic hauntings, unfortunately my current house has one, and I myself am being targeted by a demon. Not sure why it picked me, but it's very interesting listening to two demons argue, you can't understand what they say, but each word sends a...Its hard to explain what it feels like... It feels like a blue-grey going through the body, so cold and lonely and dark. Well, if you need any help with proof-reading I'd be more than glad to help [not obvious ploy to get chapters earlier] or if you'd like more references for your story you can just ask.

Yes I agree 100% that it can be dangerous because you never know what you're dealing with. And we were sure that there were demons at that old farm house. Come to find out that the previous owners were satanic worshipers and performed satanic rituals. It's torn down now and we've moved quite far distance from it.
I sure do hope that everything works out for you, friend. And I'll keep that in mind about proof-reading I'll be sure to let you know

The ending reminded me a little of Final Destination, what with her dreaming about dying and waking up before it all happened. Very good!!!! Had to skip this concluding this, because it was 1 in the morning and I would have been terrified.... but it turns out paranoia got the better of me....
