3879892 Stories within the 1000-2000 word range seem to work best for me with this genre. I actually tried to do the NaPoWriMo challenge last year but ended up being unable to finish it due to literal flooding in the area where I live. I might try again this year.

Before I read, I just had to say. if your story is only 2000 or less, keep it in one chapter. I mean really time jump work just fine for transitions.
