Twilight and Spike's intimacy is threatened when Rarity gives herself as a gift to the young dragon for his birthday. With Twilight and Rarity butting heads over who gets to be his mate, Spike just wants his friends to be happy so he can be happ
Next morning, she wakes up, a bit groggy and thinking the fantasy is real... but Spike isn't there. He's at the home of someone who actually returned his feelings, excessively lustful and possibly short-lived as their fling may be. And then she'll think back and realize SHE denied HERSELF the fantasy of having that stud muffin for herself.
For some reason, I think it's going to build up to something like that, I keep thinking Rarity loves Spike, but doesn't take the relationship quite as serious as he does, then there's the fact that Spike has 'previous experience' which may tick her off.
Another good chapter. It's actually a bit tough to see Twilight in such a place, so confused and still naive about her own feelings. I was in a similar situation to her and so it hits me so much closer to home; I'm sad to say, she's being a much better friend than I was in the situation, then again I guess that's why I'm not the Princess of Friendship.
The interplay between all three of them is still so engaging. Twilight seems to finally be realizing that she never showed Spike the emotional intimacy that he was looking for because she just didn't see him as a feasible partner before—giving a bit of credence to the idea of her seeing him as a brother more than a friend. She had the emotional connection, and everyday intimacy, but was never able to see him as a long term intimate partner until that facet was taken away from her.
I'm also quite interested to see when/if Rarity will realize that while she has the physical connection with spike and the emotional intimacy, she's sorely lacking in that everyday intimacy, and that bond of intense friendship. Will she realize it before it's too late? Will Spike?. mylittlefacewhen.com/media/f/img/mlfw687_13589_-_animated_twilight_sparkle.gif I can hardly wait to find out more.
48211614821550 Not necessarily, the idea that who ends up with whom will make or break a fanfic—except for those that are diametrically opposed to specific ships—is completely foolish. What will make or break a story is how it's pulled off; if all the characters are consistent and in character, and the circumstances and reactions are believable then it won't make the story bad, no matter who Spike ends up with, or if they all end up together. The writing, not the ship, will make or break the story; I can even think of two perfect examples with this specific trio in The Ones Forgotten by Idylia and Purely Scientific Interest by CarcinoGenetecist. Have we learned nothing from the recent Most Dangerous Game competition? Good writing and a solid story can make any idea or situation into a great read.
So, no matter how you have this planning to turn out Cloperella, just make sure that you stay true to the characters, and to your vision, and we will continue to eat this story up with every chapter you give us.
4822442 Thank you very much Anon. Comments like these are the reason I push myself to write. It's nice to be reminded that people can get into the stuff I put out in such a way. I really hope to get more of this story out before too long again.
This was very very sexy! Also bittersweet. On one hoof you have Twilight admiting to herself that she loves spike, but on the other hoof Spike is taken by Rarity... I honestly do hope Twilight gets Spike. I think they would be much happier together than Spikes little 'fling' with Rarity, cause honestly, that is all it is. A star that burns extremely hot lasts exponentially less than one that burns fuel at a steady rate. That is how the saying goes correct ?
4937848 In all seriousness though, I've got a lot on my plate, with school, working on a book, and wanting to revisit other neglected stories on my account. I need to make a blog entry addressing the issue.
This took me quite a bit longer than I'm happy with to get to... so damn busy lately -_- I digress, edge of the seat stuff, and you're moving us closer and closer to that moment when it all hits the fan and goes crazy. The suspense is brilliant, but it's killing me.
Another quiet day in Ponyville. Twilight was nose first in a book as spike was making breakfast. "Spike , I missed my period" Spike answered "Gosh Have the publisher make the needed corrections" Twilight sighed "A bun in the oven?" Spike doodled "It's pan cakes!" A knock at the door interupts the lop sided exchange.... Spike pops the door open. "Rarity! Come on in" Spike beamed at Miss Hay Puff
"Spikey dearest I have great news I'm with child!" Spike looks "Ah Where?" "I'm pregnent Spike" Spike being spike "Who's the lucky gu..............Oh Oh"

My head-cannon theory is that Twi has a 'Sibling Complex'.
Well, that brought a lot of stuff into into about Twilight's feelings for the dragon. Lets just hope she won't do anything rash because of it.
4820838 Hah!
I stand by my previous statement. This story better not be another "Spike dumps Rarity at the last moment in order to be with Twilight instead".
4821051
that would be a really shitty ending, wouldn't it...
Twas good
I love this story even more now....
4821161 Seen good stories kill themselves by pulling that shit.
Well that exquelate quickly and he wasn't even there
4821161 no a really shitty ending would be if spike gets both of them. Please don't do this

Will absence make the heart grow fonder, or will absence make the heart grow cold and make the heart to wander? Time will tell.
Are the citizens of PonyVillle deaf, or do they just ignore it when a mare is screaming loudly during sex?
4821161 not if ya work up to it, with a bit of dramatic flare.
That a was a long...masturbation fantasy sequence

Okay then.

....And here I am, hoping for that....
