4616562 LOL, I was wondering how long it would take someone to get that. 4616489 4616509 It'll take a bit more than a smile and a laugh to dissuade this guard. Don't worry, I've got plan for him. Big ones.
My lips set a fine line as I heard her words, anger rising in my chest. +I am NOT your human. I never was. I be someone who live in your house, yes. I be your guest, yes. I am NOT your property, and I WILL NOT be treated so.+
This chapter:
"Alright boys, sit!" Dr. Song called out.
"Melody, as much as these might be treats for regular humans, I don't think waving them around is going to... do anything?" Twilight just gaped as she saw both myself and Max sitting in front of Dr. Song, staring at the bacon.
"Alright, now roll over." Dr. Song commanded. Max and I were perfect mirrors of eachother as we rolled left and right respectively. Twilight's mouth just gaped wider. "Now play dead." Max just went limp where he was, while I stood up and did the best impersonation of a stabbed man as I could, even going so far as to throw in coughs, winces, death throes, and a death rattle.
"Good boys!" Dr. Song said, holding the bacon out. I grabbed mine and immediately stuffed my face while Max signed out
4629957 In a way. It was more to showcase the ponies being below Richard's skill level than Richard being above average. Though I did realize my original was a bit unbelievable 4630282 As for that, Richard was more upset over his freedom being restrained (as he perceived it) than his dignity being crushed. He's a fighter. We generally have no dignity when it comes to doing weird shit.
Plus, it's been a few days, and he's not upset at all anymore. And he's willing to play along because he's good-natured (if a little unbalanced) and he sees Max, Twilight, and Dr. Sing as friends. Therefore he's going to act like a weirdo for that reason alone.
Well. This is certainly interesting, and I love the SCA. I'm in the Kingdom of Atenveldt. Also, I guess you could call the ISS of Ansterroa the Wizard's Tower.
4637816 It's always nice to see a fellow Scadian. As for your kingdom, are you with the Mid? Or the East? (As in allied) or is your kingdom to far away to be bothered?
4639949 You dare?! I, sir, am no mere peasant! I am a Knight of Atenveldt, and I forge mine own armor! Seriously, it's three cents thick with kevlar lining, and I have leather backed scales under the suit, not to mention a half-sleeve chain hauberk over my rerebraces and plackart. It weighs about 450 kilograms, but I can handle the heat thanks to some environmental padding that NASA let me keep from testing it at a faire a couple years ago.
4639944 We're more of a westerly alliance, but are allied with Ansteorra. Atenveldt is Arizona, parts of New Mexico, Nevada, and south/eastern Utah. Though, I guess I technically belong to Artemisia, since I'm in SLC. My troupe competes with real steel, but in the moderated tourneys, we follow the regs. Otherwise, we train much in the same way as the olde Knights did; with faux weaponry that weighs thrice the weight of the real deal.
The SCA brass frown upon our Troupe's methods, but as long as no-one loses a body part, they're okay. Besides, the only other Troupes I know of that use real weaponry are in San Diego and Chicago. Still, I have to put rubber on the articulating claws on my left hand, because I can shred steel with enough force. It took a lot of science and testing to get those claws to work (inspired in part by RuneScape).
As much as I disapprove of the guards actions, I can understand them. To them, they're dealing with what is basically a wolf. Trained/domesticated, yes, but still a wolf. They do what they have to to keep ponies (the only sentient species in the area that they know of) safe from potential harm. Looking forward to more. Keep up the good work. Deus tecum.
4641620 You call yourself a SCAdian and yet you missed my reference to the Holy Grail? Ni! I say Ni to you sir!
As for your kingsom and whatnot, I didn't know that some people used real steel in the SCA. I knew it existed in other areas (Scandinavia and a few other places). The more you know.
4703487 Wait, I missed it?! Damn it, how shamefur of me...
But yeah, there are a couple troupes that use real steel in training, and when competing against each other. As far as I know, there are about five in America, three in Scandanavia and Germany combined, two in Russia and a few more in other places around the world that have an SCA presence.
I haven't read any Your Human and You stories other than the Original one yet, but something that's been bugging me as I read these descriptions, is if anybody uses the 'Equestria Humans can't Smile' to their advantage, but then I remember that Max(I think that was his name) only knew because Twilight thinks books can help with anything, and any human is in the YHaY Multi-Verse(I JUST figured out what the YHaY Approved Tags meant!!) won't have a reason TO smile unless the first pony they meet is really nice to Humans and the person hasn't seen any Human Pet's, though since Equestria Humans don't have Canines that should at least show that their different. I'm sorry, I seem to be rambling and going off on tangents again, just like every time I seem to leave a comment.
"OH! I've always wanted to make that! I had it once when Mr. Cake made it for this one griffon holiday, I can't remember what it was called, something about octopusses, or is that octopi? Anyway, it was apparently a big hit, but the beer was so expensive that he stopped making it and he never showed me and I'd love to make it so can you tell me the recipe?"
I love Oktoberfest
"Kowalski, Rico, go get the human cart. I don't want to have to walk these beauties back." The lead guard said, licking his lips. "It'd give me too many opportunities to lose them to an 'accident'."
Those aren't pony names... unless you're tryig to replicate those penguins from Madagascar?
Just have Richard smile and make the guard faint.
4616489 Maybe put a little snicker in the mix^^
Operation was a success, I believe this is the perfect moment for some high fives.

And so more drama continues. 'Twas but another day to read another HIE fic. It never gets old. I think. Oh well, I'm happy that this is updated.
4616615
4616509
How about a little shiv instead?
4617519
Watch it! When bacon is in the mix, most everyone will do weird things
4618514 I think most people have more integrity than what was shown in this chapter, bacon or not.
Not enough bacon!!
MOAR!!!!

Well, then allow me to respond in kind: Help, help! I'm being repressed!

N-N-No, that can't be...
I'm just gonna leave this here, I think it's applicable.
