Did James tell any of you where he was going? Nopony's seen him since last night. I hope he's okay...
Sapphire here says he's gained a position as a guard inside the castle which allows him to hear just about everything that goes on. Stormcloud is using a lot to keep that castle in the air--propellers, something called a genjin, magic--but he needs to lighten the load. As such, he's going to be moving the princesses in their petrified form tomorrow night. However, that's also the same time Queen Chrysalis agreed to meet us about a treaty to defeat Stormcloud. Most of us agree that this chance to save the princesses is more important than even a valuable team like the Changelings. I'd like to hear which one you think we should prioritize.

We really need to find him! What if something horrible happened? Or he collapsed somewhere? He wasn't feeling well... I even wrote him a lullaby to help him sleep...
Don't worry, Fluttershy, I'm sure he's fine. We'll find him. Do any of you know where he might be?

But I don't WANT to do this without James! ... I guess we're on our own. That leaves me in charge, so here's what we'll do: I need to speak with Chrysalis and convince her to reschedule to tonight, so we'll be able to focus all our attention tomorrow on the rescue team. We can't just send some ponies over to them, that wouldn't end well!

Then why don't we wait until tomorrow and do both at the same time? I think I for one would be very effective at convincing the queen to join our cause.
Well, if we did both at the same time, I could only go to one...
I have that problem all the time! First I have to be at one place, then I have to ruuun over to the next, then ruuuun back before I miss anything! It just doesn't work!
I guess I'll just have to go to one of them. Hmm... I'd LIKE to help save the princesses, but Chrysalis will probably want to speak with me...

Hey, guys, it's Sarah. This whole business started a month ago, and we're all still alive! If James were here, he'd probably say something here as he always does, so I'm going to say something for him.
Uh... well, first off I'd like to thank those who have been here since the early chapters. A lot of things have happened since then, and at least a few of you are still here which is encouraging. I wasn't there--well, I was but I didn't know--so thanks for helping out my brother. He'd probably start naming names, but I have no idea, so sorry.
Let's see, what else would he say? Probably that his birthday wish came true in that he gained some friends and he's never been happier despite this world's existence being in danger.
That's all I got. I suck at speeches. When we get James back, he can thank you in person. Or... you know what I mean. That's all, Twilight.

Hello Lady Twilight Sparkle and Lady Fluttershy, I am quite relieved to hear from you. We feared that something happened to you as we received no further messages from you last night.
To your question, James has somehow send us message yesterday, in this he stated that he thinks that all are more comfortable with you Twilight in command, he thinks that everypony/everyone sees him as a child and is not able to help us properly. He said further that he is trying to find a way back to earth.
Twilight I am concerned about his health, it seems that he is feeling worse and worse every day and has problems to see clearly. Has somepony checked Sahrah, where is she and how is she?
1) Where are the pricesses currently hold in there petrified state, and what do we know about this place(Enemy forces, composition of the terrain and structure)
2) Are the dungeons where Discord is detained in within the castle?

1) Where are you currently?
2) Do we know the status of our hq?
3) Do we know what is used to power the propellers?
4) How strong is the enemy?
5) Have we any guards from the Crystal empire?
6) Do we have any information concerning Sapphire?
7) Are the dungeons within the castle or are they embedded in the mountain?
8) Do we have we any idea where the princesses are hold?
9) How are the defences of the "flying fortress"?
10) Do we currently have some parasprites?
11) Is the caste still within a shield?
And please check if everypony of you is the one they should be, make a test, as far as I know, Twilight that you should have the ability to unmask every possible changeling spy with your magic.
On a more personal note, Twilight how are you, Shining Armor, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Spike, Apple Bloom and the others, can we do something for you? Do any of you need medical attention?
Please look out for James, he doesn´t sound so good, we are worried about him. How does Sahrah holds up, has she the same problems? My last question is concerning what we last discussed, did you have time to research a way for us to come to your aid? We are concerned about the long chain of communication and it´s vulnerability. A few of us, including me, wish to come over to you and help you directly. I hope you are all allright, we are really grateful and happy that you are ok and we all want to congratulate to the successful rescue mission. Again you have shown that friendship can overcome any problems if all work together to reach a common goal, I bow to your hope, to your bravery, and your determination ladies, gentlestallion, gentledragon and all others.
Please let Applejack know that when we have a portal working, that I will personaly come and help her rebuild everything no matter how long it takes and how much work will be needed.

1) As far as we know, they are being held inside the castle somewhere and will be moved tomorrow night. We're not sure where yet, but Sapphire is going to try to find out. That's good, Twilight, I just thought you might want to know--
2) That's what confuses me: I originally thought he was kept in the dungeons beneath the castle, but now that it's somehow flying, how could that be? I'm sure he's still in the castle wherever they're keeping him. Twilight, James isn't the only pony missing. Derpy's gone, too!

3438266 We know that it was not your intention to hurt his feelings. In his state he is not thinking clearly, you don´t have to feel bad about this. When you find him speak with him about it, that is the best thing to do and let him know, that he has helped us so much and that he is a valuable expansion of the team everyone/everypony has it strong and weak sides that is natural, that is the reason we stand together and help each other. But he has to work with the team so he can help us and we can help him.

Lady Twilight Sparkle and Lady Fluttershy I know that James is has health problems. Shut We cannot just send our troops everywhere we need them elsewhere. Derpy is with him, well I don't know if it is a good news or bad but James is grown men and can make his own decisions.
So why we can't just do both?
Right now I want you to start talks with Chrystalis. First of all we have to find a proper place for diplomatic meeting. Same neutral place, but well hide. Take with you 10 unicorns and 20 earth ponies, as protection.
At the same time rest of our forces with help from diamond dogs will prepare ambush for convoy transporting princess.

I agree. We have more than enough troops to do both.
3438362 I agree with both of you that both things are great opportunities. But we also have to keep in mind that James is an important part of the team and we have taken the responsibility about him and everypony/everyone else within the team, for the good and bad parts.
Additionaly we have to keep in mind because of his current health problems that he is not able to think clearly the things through.
On a more logical part, he knows everything about our operations and our base, it would be really dangerous for us if the enemy gets his hooves on him.
Of course do I hope that all our worries are unfounded because we find him within a short amount of time. In his current state he should not be able to cover great distances and of course Ditzy is with him.

Still as filthy and crowded as its always been is what I say. But thank you so much for my own room, Twilight. Well, I couldn't expect a pony like yourself to share one, now could I? The HQ is still in good condition. Its tunnels run just about all over the center of the map now.
3) I'm not sure. I'd assume magic, but he may have built something to keep it up. Something we can sabotage, perhaps?
4) All of Ponyville is cured, so all he really has is guards from the castle, pegasi from Cloudsdale, and a few other places. The lands he owns are those two, Sweet Apple Acres, and the Crystal Kindom through the changelings. At least that's all I can think of at the moment.
5) None. We only escaped with my brother and Cadance, both of who's magic isn't working so well. I think the changelings did something before they locked them away.
8) They're being held in the castle, but are being moved somewhere else to lighten the load and make keeping the castle in the sky easier. I know we already went over this.
9) The castle is Stormcloud's last defense. If we get to the top of there, we win and he loses, so he has put a lot into protecting it. Pegasi constantly fly around it (some of which we now know are the wonderbolts), there's a very strong shield which he has made even stronger recently, there's the catapults that throw fireballs near the top, heavily guarded, "he" is at the top watching over it (which means he doesn't know where we are or else he wouldn't be watching for us all the time), and that's just what I could see from the outside. I'm sure Sapphire will have more information about the inside.
3438541 I read rather fast, so I can read all the fiction that I think that are interesting, so I know quite a few of them also including Ditzy.
3438544 Ok lets think, we have two big opportunities at your hooves/hands:
- Get the princesses back
- Get the changelings on our side
Concerning the changelings, yes if it works that is great. But could it be a trap for us?
Are you sure it wouldn´t be possible to communicate with Chrystalisis with the communication spell you are currently using with other unicorns?
If you want to meet it needs to be a neutral place and it need to be a place where you can be as sure as possible that you can not be ambushed.
Do you know if the place where they wnat to transport the princesses to is outside the castle?
If the answer is yes, we could strike the convoy when it has left the castle and is outside the range of the wepons of the castle.
A question to your abilities, as far as I know Twilight it is in your abilities to create a magical shield, are your also able to project a shield sphere over greater distances ahead of you? If yes you could create many small shield sphere to protect you from magical attacks and if you are even able to manipulate this spheres properties in the right way you may be even be able to reflect attacks back to it´s caster.
Concerning the fireballs of the castle you would project this shields ahead of you and they would explode on contact with a sphere of you and cannot reach you, they would even be needed to be strong to do so, when one is blown up, just create the next.
My suggestion would be, try to do both, scout the area and gather as much information as possible about the area, the enemy forces, the plans of the enemy and so on, information is in this case one of our strongest weapons. But please be aware that Chrystalisis could plan to lure you into a trap for example to get revenge.
How is Appeljack and her family holding up at the moment, I don´t want them to lose hope. Could you please talk to them and see if there is something you can do so they feel better. On that node, did you forward my message to Applejack?
