This is a MLP:FIM/Valkyrie Profile crossover. If you haven't played the first two games in the series, there will be spoilers ahead. After the events of VP2: Silmeria, instead of Lezard's soul being destroyed, he finds himself in Equestria (post season 3); with only his mortal magic powers left, but none of the powers he stole from Odin. Abandoning his lust for Lenneth, he sets out to find a way to retain the godhood that he believes is rightfully his; and to become the new ruler of Equestria, by any means necessary.
This is my 1st fic, so please don't go too hard on me. Comments welcome, especially if there is constructive criticism (don't be afraid to give negative criticism, as long as it's constructive). For now, I've just got a chapter that occurs near the end of the story, but it's NOT a tragedy story (those who have played VP1 might know what I mean).
OK, just to explain what this chapter is about. This is more something designed to pull people in to see if they want to find out what lead to all this, and what will happen next. The main villain may have very hammy dialogue, but that is par for the course with Valkyrie Profile games, especially in combat. Also, this fanfic is aimed mainly at fans of VP as well as MLP:FIM, it may not make much sense to others. Lezard's hamminess may appear completely over-the-top, but I'm just following his characterization in the games. Finally, VP involves gods being used heavily, so Deus Ex Machina events near the end of a game are more the norm, than the exception, as good gods are involved in the fighting (anyone who has got the A ending in VP1: Lenneth, will know exactly what I mean). It's part of why I can go all out and make it appear like a tragedy, where it seems there will be very little left, but I don't do tragedies.
