Midnight Legend

E
Source

Today is a very special day for Midnight Legend. Not only because it's his birthday, but it is his first birthday in his new home, the town of Ponyville. To celebrate, Twilight Sparkle, with the aid of a mysterious ally, decide to stall him until sunset, where they would surprise him. But will they stall him long enough or will he see through their ruse?

If you have constructive criticism about anything in the story (grammar, spelling, etc.), please don't be afraid to post a comment.

midnite legend is a alicorn thats realy cool mine is to:moustache:

@djbrony3000 yeah, but he's not too OP. I have been working on his life story, but I've recently switched computers and the old computer is on the fritz. So, until I get it transferred to my current computer, no story of my OC. :raritycry:

I'm sure you think it's a really cool, mysterious, unique and edgy name yes ?

The fact is, almost every ( bad ) OC landing on this site have either " Midnight ", " Shadow ", " Night " or " Dark " in their own name.
That why I facepalm, the name of your OC is so common here.

There's more to a pony than just a name. And just because other OCs considered bad have "Midnight" in their name doesn't make mine "bad."

And for the record, I didn't choose it because it sounded "cool, mysterious, and edgy."

I actually chose "Midnight" because it would represent the darker aspects of his family's history, but it's also a family name (the firstborn son of his family has the name "Midnight"); the "Legend" is because his family is thought to have faded from history into legend. I actually had his history thought up before even coming up with his name.

I just wrote a story in celebration of my birthday; if you don't like any aspect of the story, don't read it.

Even though I will admit it's cliched, I wrote this to the best of my ability. We all need some cliche in life. But I believe that boredom is subjective. Also, it's my first birthday as a part of the fandom and as a member of this site. I just wanted to do a special story for such an occasion.

And no worries about it continuing; the entire story is set during one twenty-four hour day. That was all it was going to be from the beginning. How many chapters it had was dependent upon how much I could get done each week.

But my reasoning for "If you don't like the story, don't read it" is not self-righteous fury. It's merely logic. I read several fanfics a day, some memorable and some forgettable. I've seen grammatical/spelling errors so terrible I stopped reading it altogether. The premise of the story has to be interesting to me in order to continue; you of course cannot deny that reasoning, can you?

I appreciate the constructive criticism, but I'm still proud of this art. I apologize if it didn't appeal to your tastes. Good day.

I don't care if was cliche, I liked it. I don't understand the thumbs down though - Could it be that the OC is an Alicorn? Well done in my book! :moustache:

I've always had it in my mind that my OC be an alicorn. Not because of their power or their standing in society, but for their beauty and grace. Plus I'd like to see a canon male alicorn in the series. I'm actually working on his story right now, but as I said before, it's stuck on my old computer. :raritycry: But he's not too OP; he's not greater than Celestia, Luna, Cadance, or Twilight. Also, he's not a "Mary Sue." He's got real problems and is not completely likeable at first sight. Sure, when he's in Ponyville, Pinkie does her usual schtick.

And I'm glad you like it. Hope you read my future stories.
