In her anger an old rival will release an ancient evil once beaten by the Princesses and their two oldest friends. But with their friends gone and the burden falls on everyone's favorite ponies. Although when caught in trouble they may need the help of a new ally to save Equestria.

The annual Magician's Showcase is just around the corner and Trixie looks to finally take home the 1st place trophy. In her quest to show she's the "Greatest and most Powerfullest" she accidentally humiliates Rainbow Dash who is in the middle of something important. While she is in the process of fixing one mess another presents itself in the form of fellow competitors looking to show Trixie up. Can she overcome them and still make things right with Dash?

While exploring a park, a young Trixie comes across a blue egg while practicing her magic tricks. So she attempts to hatch it... she succeeds.
What hatched from the egg looked to be a cross between a shark and a dragon.

With her new companion, she will become the best magician in all of Equestria! She might also learn the meaning of friendship along the way.

Spanning the course of 7 days, Laura, a hare gifted with magic, tries to find a way back to her own reality. But it won't be easy- she doesn't know how she got there, or where to begin. She sees hope in the talents of a young unicorn who has taken an all too familiar road to her, and teaches her the true significance of joining others rather than standing alone.

Along the way, she meets up with 3 little fillies who'll never give up before they get their cutie mark, and a pony whose nature and profession prevents her from true expression.
