Indigo Zap had long hoped to join the ranks of the Inquisitors, and on a long train ride to Canterlot, that day has finally come. A little paperwork and a couple of tests, she is ready to start her work, bringing peace, prosperity, and, most importantly, justice to the world of Equestria.

A story written for the Science Fiction Contest III. It is a prequel to Cyberpony: Y2K, but they are both standalones. It takes place before Y2K, but neither is required to read the other.

Sunset and the rest of her group deals with their level of crazy chaos, a magic mirror and Rainbow Dash starting a friendly rivalry with Indigo Zap. Lavender tries to convince her cousin, Cloudkicker to join the Illusions while Fuchsia learns more about plants in an attempt to get Wallflower to open up more.

With her parents gone for the week, Twilight decides to invite her friends from Crystal Prep to her house in an attempt to get to know them better. It goes surprisingly better than she hoped until Lemon Zest brings out a card game she wanted to play with them all. What the heck is cards against humanity?

After catching Flash cheating on her, Sunset is a mixture of depressed and angry. An angry high schooler with access to alcohol is never good. Naturally, Sunset's friends hate their fellow high schooler, even Pinkie and Sunset vows to never date again until Rarity sets Sunset up with a friend of hers.

Sour Sweet never really cared about anyone except herself and beating Canterlot High of course. After the Friendship Games, she slowly but surely turned herself around and even made a few friends. When she prepares to leave lunch for her next class, she rescues a fellow classmate from a crime, leading to Sour to doubt everything about herself.

Indigo Zap was quite respected at Crystal Prep Academy.

But outside of it, she felt like a completely different person. Her reputation not baring down on her meant she was free to express herself. But when she actually does... she feels trapped in a different way.

With the arrival of some new faces at Crystal Prep, Indigo's life will be turned upside down, as circumstance makes her question herself, her history, and her friends.

And it wasn't like she could just fly away from her problems. After all, humans don't have wings...

Twilight is invited to an airsoft event at an abandoned school by some of her old Crystal Prep classmates one late night. The night, however, does not go quite as planned, as several surprises await Twilight on this chaotic night.

The Friendship Games are still fresh on everyone's minds - likely due to the near destruction of the universe and all such?

Since then, months have passed and things have certainly changed. Twilight Sparkle, for her part, has not only changed schools but practically become a whole different person.

But let's face it: we really messed up back then, didn't we?

Perception is a fascinating thing. Sometimes, how someone views themselves and how others view someone don't coincide. In fact, it can be absolutely baffling how different the two are.

The girl who seems to have everything together? She might be a wreck beneath the surface.

The girl who seems so inattentive? Perhaps she genuinely doesn't see the attempts to reach her.

The girl who seems so moody? Maybe there's more to it than what people see.

But of course, that's the thing about perception. Sometimes, it just doesn't line up. And few know that better than the girls at Crystal Prep Academy.

(This is a collection of little vignettes I'll be publishing, effectively going into my headcanons for the Shadowbolts. I hope you enjoy it.)

Indigo Zap was the star athlete of Crystal Prep Academy. Way more athletic than she had any right to be, and always looking for a challenge, she helped the school's reputation immensely. Everyone respected her.

But no one knew what lied beneath the surface. No one knew why she was such a loner, even by Crystal Prep standards.

She rarely, if ever hung out with others, often rushing back home after practice. And she rarely called or texted anyone, and no one even knew what hobbies she had. That was by design, because Indigo didn't WANT them to know.

After all, how could they understand her obsession when even she didn't?
