This story is a sequel to Worlds of Destiny
The events of G5 and The Last Problem are ignored, but not entirely non-canon
Worlds of Destiny should not be necessary to read before hand
Takes place at the same time as Shark Wars: Razor's Edge (if I still had plans to continue that, assume a broad strokes version is happening concurrently) and Aeon Legion: Starlight
Follows up on some story elements from The Last of Skyros, but it's not necessary to read beforehand. In fact, I will declare right now that The Last of Skyros is non-canon to the NightFlameverse
This is technically a Sonic crossover, but the Sonic elements are so insignificant they might as well not exist... well, except for one thing, but I have plausible deniability for that one. Very plausible deniability.
Those of you with only a casual knowledge of Sonic probably won't even notice it.
Regardless, the fact that it ties into Aeon Legion: Starlight has led me to tag it "Crossover" anwyay
Grogar won, and yet Ponyville was unaffected... somehow.
Twilight doesn't understand the full scope of what happened, and neither do the Royal Sisters. Celestia believes there is one place where answers can be found: the Legendary Alicorn City of Skyros, a city that has long since been lost to time. And yet even Celestia has been lied to about the true nature of Skyros.
Rainbow Dash has been separated from her friends, but she soon finds herself imprisoned in a vaguely familiar place: the Cave of Harmony, but not the one in the Everfree. With the help of a pyromaniac kirin and a voice in her head, she will find a way back to her friends, even if it's the last thing she does.
Opaline Arcana has waited for over eight hundred years and believes now is the perfect time to strike.
