Earlier this week, I posted about the Cozy Glow Contest being hosted by the Cozy Glow Group. I'm trying to get a story in for it, but I've learned that apparently this will be the last year of the contest if ten or less stories have been submitted by Oct. 7. Right now, only three have been submitted to the contest, so
Posted the first two chapters of the next fic in my Redemption series. This one is the earliest planned story chronologically, Cozy Glow: FIENDship is Magic. It’s modeled on the MLP comic series of the same name and serves a similar purpose, in that it’s supposed o give backstory to Cozy Glow the same way we got backstory for Tirek, Sombra, Chrysalis, the Sirens, and Nightmare Moon in those comics.

*2nd Person story. Oh no! Oh yes!
You read the title right. I believe that Cozy Glow actually lacked any free will in terms of the outcome in Season 9. In short, she was led down the evil path, which ended in punishment, but that doesn't mean she was immune to any potentially different outcome. That's the short version, let's get into the long version...
Cozy Glow is a genius - at least by pony standards. She weaponizes her own cuteness to win the trust of Twilight, (and manipulates her into suspecting Tirek, going to Tartarus, and getting locked inside via use of an artifact that Cozy had personally packed in Twilight's saddlebag).

This story was a bit of an experiment for me. I generally stick to comedies and happy slice of life fics, while this is probably the single most depressing thing I've ever written.
If you haven't already read the story, be forewarned that there be spoilers down this path you've chosen to walk.
What bothers me the most about the hate against Cozy Glow is that nobody seems interested in how she came to be so messed up in the first place.
Oh, and the extreme violence some "people" (read: monsters) desire to see leveled against her.
Halfway through writing my fanfic that focuses on Cozy Glow's backstory, I re-watched “Marks for Effort” to get a better feel for the character. This was my first time seeing the episode after watching everything that came afterward, and it didn't help me understand the character any better than I had before. Viewed in this new context, Cozy's characterization in this episode seems like it was designed primarily to trick the audience. I'm legitimately not sure if she really needed help

Of course it does. The author has sadly become a one-trick little pony who writes about Cozy Glow exclusively. Well, not exactly, it just seems like it sometimes.
Okay this is one part me venting my being tired of hearing "Oh poor cozy glow, she's just a filly" or "You don't turn a foal to stone or send them to Tartarus" over and over and over in different story comments about her. And one part looking to know what others would try and do if they were in charge.
Because she's about the only real Pegasus or Earth Pony villain in "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
Lightning Dust was a jerk, but not a true risk to Equestrian society level villain.
(There are other reasons I love her. This is just one I had been thinking about lately.)
The feeling when you realize that Cozy Glow is literally the result of a guy, his sister and the one time they both managed to completely forget about the birth control until well past noon the next day due to alcohol having been involved...
Equestria was nearly drained of all its magic literally because of a, "I-I'm sure it'll be fine... I mean what are the chances that just because of one time...?"
Just on a headcanon roll lately. But yeah, what if Cozy Glow, the manipulative ponified Darla Dimple, is actually an adult pony with some sort of dwarfism? This explains some of her characterization and even fills in some plot holes in her story.
I will note what I will bring up might be disturbing to some people, so I will warn you. I will be mentioning psychopathy, murder, and the unsettling nature that is Cozy Glow. I for one think it might be an interesting concept, but if you are uncomfortable with those things then you do not need to read this post.
