Cozy Glow the Terrible (character) and My Pointless Headcanon for Her. · 4:13am Aug 26th, 2019
Spoiler Free Opinions: Okay Lol so I've basically spoiled myself for the whole Series Finale of MLP Friendship is Magic (confirmed leaks with screenshots) aaaaaaaaaaaand its as bad as I thought it would be. (Though I think fans of two specific ships are going to be very happy)
But other than that this is awful. And in celebration of that I just wanted to get my headcanon for Cozy Glow off my chest before the Titanic finally sinks.
So my headcanon is that Cozy Glow was originally a human from EQG world.
Cozy Glow: You might get some company soon, if I can't make that annoying Neighsay back off! [inhales, exhales] All this magic needs time to drain from Equestria before my vortex sucks it to another realm. [giggles] Three days can sure seem like forever, huh? You know, you ponies got it all wrong. Friendship isn't magic. Friendship is power! With Twilight and her lackeys out of my way, all of Equestria will bow to me! The future Empress of Friendship! [maniacal laughter]

See when she said "another realm" I dead ass believed she was human and in this moment she is hyped on power, believing that this is a game. She's just role-playing.
So Cozy knows what she's doing is wrong but she is acting out due to dissonance. She needs the magic and by acting like a villain she doesn't have to care if the magical creatures that may or may not be real, are affected or not. It would be like being in a video game basically or she believes she is in something similar.
So then who is Cozy Glow and what is her story? Well I have to make it all up from scratch so here I try:
Cozy's mother is basically a neglectful Lauren Faust type character. A prolific toy / cartoon creator who loves spreading joy to children but doesn't have time to pay attention to her own child. Because of this Cozy is drowning in little girl toys and immersed in a fantasy world but it doesn't mean anything to her because her mom pays her no attention. Also there is no father so that makes it worse.
The final straw is when her mom misses out on some kind of talent show/ recital Cozy was in in an attempt to impress her mom. Probably a top tier chess match against a famous chess player who she beats easily. Cozy is so upset when she gets home, she breaks into her mom's office and deletes and destroys an important presentation that was set up. Of course the mom flips out, Cozy runs away. Somehow some way, either through a random magical surge or a portal, Cozy finds herself in Equestria.
My logic is it makes no sense for her to do that (steal the magic to another realm) unless she intended to follow it. I mean if she got rid of all the magic then so what? An adult mare could still kick her face in. A royal guard could still throw her in a dungeon.
If ponies become sick/weak when their magic is taken away...(Why would Cozy want to rule over a bunch of sick half dead ponies) Then Cozy doing this makes me think she can survive apart from magic...like a human. Cozy's mother is obsessed with escapism and magic so Cozy is going to give her what she wants.
Also note that the fantasy cartoon Cozy's mother created is NOT the world of Equestria. But something else that has eerie similarities. Cozy resents ponies because of this and likes to manipulate them. In her mind none of it is real.
So yeah that is my reasoning. It amounts to nothing in these final days but I want to still have a bit of fun with headcanon despite the show ending soon.
