I'm aware this becoming a thing more and more, as to why I have no Celestial clue. And so far, all of the live action anime film adaptations have either been terrible or subpar. However, if care is paid to the source material that doesn't have to happen. One series I think would be amusing, if done well, in a live action format is Assassination Classroom.

Mr. Kermode gives medals of honor to what he feels are the cinematic gifts of 2016, then slaughters what he feels are the cinematic flops of the year.
As many of you know by now, my story "The Mare Who Became Queen", is going to be submitted into the Audio Drama Contest once its completed of course.

Anyways, I took shameless of advantage of my Netflix account and rewatched it for the first time in, like, 3 years, and it's still awesome.
Honestly, those two phrases could suffice for my review of this film.

I just got out of the theater. Actually not kidding, that was probably the best movie I've seen in four or five years.
Emily Blunt in particular did a S P E C T A C U L A R job with Tempest Shadow's voice acting. Literally, perfection. New ironic pone waifu?
...Maybe. Time will tell. In the mean time, you scrublords better go see the movie.
Well that was a bust.
Tom Hooper's maudlin, overly melodramatic and laughably historically inaccurate retelling of the life of the second transgender woman is an over-cooked, syrupy and worst of all, boring examination of a no doubt interesting story.
Is that an oxymoron? Ah well.
Been a while, hasn't it? I've been toiling as usual, but this blog isn't about what I'm writing now. It's about an interview I'll be doing tomorrow at 5 am CST. Apparently they are collecting questions for the writers involved, and that's where you come in.
I'll spoiler the things to save the surprises, but be warned, ye who enter.
The Red Shoes is a film that, while having several incredibly good scenes, is unable to properly gel these scenes together, and therefore suffers.
Now, let me first highlight the great parts, since there are quite a few:
I have pictures I keep meaning to share, but I'm too lazy to upload them. Yesterday there was a cool rainbow outside my house. I also scored a couple of MLP toys from McDonald's. There are 8, right? I think I have half already. (One was Fluttershy! Hooray!)

And you know what?
This movie is damn near PURRfect!
Few things are as resoundingly disappointing as when a great musical gets a terrible movie adaptation. And, in a moment that is rather ironic, just like 2004's The Phantom of the Opera, Alan Parker's 1996 cinematic rendition of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's 1976 rock opera Evita is an overblown, slow moving, sorrowfully inept attempt at taking an incredible dynamic and explosive play, and translating it to screen.
American director/screenwriter Paul Schrader's groundbreaking and immaculate Japanese language biopic of controversial Japanese writer Yukio Mishima not only manages to be an amazing portrait of an artist and his beliefs, but also an utterly fascinating and enrapturing artistic work of its own.

Doctor Strange is coming in November, and it's STARRING BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH. 
Richard Brooks' dynamic and impactful cinematic adaptation of Truman Capote's magnum opus stands as one of the best book to film adaptations, and as one of the best films of the sixties.
