I have a lot of unfinished stories, pony and otherwise. My approach to writing is Darwinian -- I start whatever I feel like, and let the best story win. Lately, though, I've been focusing on my original novel Hidemarket and writing mainly dumb clop for ponyfic. Because clop is a fun and easy break from the hard work of writing serious fiction. I'm very proud of her for having the courage to open up about her awful experience in the entertainment industry. It sucks to know that kids are being pushed by their money-hungry parents to pursue something without knowing what's going on behind the scenes and to this day, it's not being resolved.

I hope that her story, along with other former child stars, would increase awareness of the dangers of fame at such a young age.

I just listened to Perl's lecture on modernism and politics, and also, by chance, read part of a book by F. Scott Fitzgerald called On Booze, which both cast light on the strange politics of literary modernists in the 1930s.
