Being a Better Writer: Giving Characters a Leitmotif · 10:10pm Jul 26th, 2016

Okay, first of all, I need to apologize for this post coming so late in the day. I know that yesterday I said I would have it up this morning, but as some of you likely noticed ... that didn't happen. What did happen was that last night, as I sat down to put together what would have been this morning's post, it ... Well, it wouldn't go together. I was nursing a headache, tired, and after a frustrating time spent slapping together a less-than-subpar BaBW post, I canned the

I just want to state for the record that I am working super hard on my fics, I just haven't had the time with 4 tests trying to drown me and Xcom2 being the addicting prick it is.

Being a Better Writer: Subverting Tropes · 9:55pm Apr 24th, 2018

Something you’ll often hear when picking up reviews or word-of-mouth for new books that happen to be particularly praiseworthy is that something is “fresh” or “clever.” Maybe that it “does something new with the genre” or that it’s managed to put a “new twist on old ideas.”

Being a Better Writer: Micro-Blast #3 · 7:26pm May 17th, 2016

Yep! Another Tuesday BaBW post. While this has been the standard for the last three weeks, I don’t think I work this next Monday, so hopefully I’ll be able to break this chain and get back to posting these on their usual time. Granted, I could write them ahead of time … but the other blog I post these on doesn’t allow for scheduling, so it’d just end up fragmenting my reading base more than it already is, and since I’ve been working on the days I would normally write these in advance …

Welp, my computer's back... · 11:42pm Oct 3rd, 2016

Okay, so after weeks of waiting [Felt like forever, really] my computer is finally back and already up and running. To safe guard against a repeat incident that started this whole mess in the first place, it's been moved to a bigger table that's not so high off the ground. SUPER UPDATE: Hint #1! · 4:41am Feb 22nd, 2018

(And probably my only hint, since I don't want to spoil it too much.)

I'd recommend looking in the Latest Update box at about 6 on Friday for more info. (Or 7/6c, at least. I am the Kansas City Coco Chronicler, after all. :raritywink:)

Until then, have a great week, and I'll see all of you this Friday night~

So updates! I did manage to hit my quota last Friday despite being a little sick. And while I wouldn’t put it past that segment to need a little editing, overall it was a pretty kick-butt segment of [REDACTED] battling [REDACTED].
