This was the first time I wrote a description about depression
Depression is a solemn affair. It's quiet and introspective in nature, an utterly personal affair. Describing it rarely tells anyone what it's like. Could you, should you step into it, telling anyone about it will lessen its hold...but it will only last a short time.
Okay, I'm about to make myself stop refreshing FiMfic for the night, but before I go: I have a new little story up, a sweet little hurt-comfort/cuddlefic called:
It has great dialogue and lovely cuddles! It's a great story to read right before bed! Also its doing quite well! Yay!
You would think someone named TheTimeSword would have more knowledge of the events surrounding time. However, today I have to thank my lucky stars that Apple automatically changes their clocks on their devices, otherwise I would have been late for work. I thought that the time change was actually today, meaning after midnight tonight (Sunday).
Since I've been up at the hospital so much, five times a week to be precise, my writing has come to a screeching halt. Yesterday was the first day I actually opened up a word document in weeks. I've found myself in a place where my creativity has vanished. I decided to do something about that on Friday. I went to Fry's, bought a Wacom Intuos and hooked it up to start drawing in Photoshop.
Not a pony. Are goats okay? (personal secret sauce)
Relationship housekeeping! Gratuitous King Reference! Perving on your own mental illness! Atrocities defended like it's Fox News! Local detail no one but me will get! Lyra picks up on some obvious foreshadowing of something that's spoiled in the story tags! Violence!
IDK if I'll get another chapter up this week; I'm behind on story commissions and I feel like I'm crawling through molasses.
Uhm, I'm not really good at self promotion ... or any promotion. Where can I go to ask people to look at my writing without being a royal pain in the a ... butt?

Honestly, the outtakes came out days ago; I'm surprised no one beat me to the concept. Go read Rarity is a Potty Mouth. Or don't. It's okay. Either way. Whatever works for you. 
I have got a couple more chapters loaded... finally, so... I'm good for the next couple of weeks before I need to seriously start panicking. To be honest, a good deal of what I've been posting up to the last couple of chapters/parts had been all but finished months ago save for one last round of edditing. I'd decided some time ago that I wasn't going to post anything until I had a goodly percentage already done.
My dad once posed a riddle to me. You and your family wash up on an island. You're the first to wake up. You decide to go to try and find food because you know everyone is going to be hungry when they wake up, and after some looking, you find some food.
Do you eat first or start taking the food back to the shore?

Every so often I'll write something that will make me go "THAT'S SO GOOD!" It's when the pieces of the puzzle align in such a way that makes a set of twenty-eight chapters all worth it once the twenty-ninth is written. I'm finding myself trying to aim for that feeling more and more when I'm writing, going as far to scrap things that I previously thought were good when instead something better came along. It takes more time to do so but I find that to be worth it.

I'm currently 7.2k+ words into the chapter. The (un?)fortunate part is, that I'm pretty sure I'm not even halfway done. Curse you, need to flesh out the dynamics! 
So yeah, also, remember when I said this would hopefully stay 3-4 chapters, hah hah!....I'm honestly not going to be able to keep that promise.
It's Fluttershy Day, and look, I wrote a Fluttershy story.
This is a complete coincidence. I really had no idea that today was Fluttershy day.
Anyway. It's weird. I hope you like it. I'm going to go hide under the sofa now.

The three points of the book, though sometimes sounding like tidbits, are profound in their message and execution. Each chapter is a point, supported by a relevant story from the admiral's days as a Navy Seal, each concise in getting its theme across.
If you like a sweet wounded-warrior/father-daughter story, you might want to have a look.
