Today's post I'm a little hesitant to put up. While doing my research on it, I found that this particular story hits a little close to home for the author and my FaM of it might come across as very flippant.

Jake the Army Guy recently ran another Horse Words Extravaganza contest, and I apparently agreed to review one of the finalists. This of course means two things: a solo post, and a lengthier one than I might otherwise have done. It needs to be special. :)
Okay, as a few of you may… or may not know, huge fan of Seriff Pilcrow’s story “Spectrum of Lightning”. Probably one of the very few stories I’ve ever reviewed that’s gotten a perfect score even to this day. Things could have been very different. To quote Seriff himself on the subject:

Quick update, y'all. Been writing the Cadence story on and off, first section seems to be in order for now. Fleshing the story out as we speak, on the nights that work hasn't been too tiring.
