I’m not quite satisfied with this chapter, although it’s still in pretty good shape.
I was just about ecstatic when I saw episode 18 today. Yeah I know I'm way behind, whatever. But it was a great episode! I couldn't possibly have been happier with how it turned out! And then... I went to get something out of the fridge. And I started thinking about what their special talent was. And then I realized what their special talent was. And all those memories from those cramped little offices of frustration and pain just came rushing back to me.
Will be the first in my new commentary series, "The Implications". Catchy title, I know. The first article of which, will focus on the wider concepts implied in the MLP episode, "Hearths Warming Eve". And why it leads me to think the history of Equestria is much more complex than we think.
Oh, and the next chapter of the Unforgiven is coming along, working on it over the past few days.

This chapter was difficult to write for two reasons.
On the 2nd of May, 2020, a few of us at the Fimfiction Discord server tinkered around with a Shipping Generator - the May 2020 Pairing Contest had just begun, and we were throwing ideas around to see which one sticks.
To date, "Something We Need to Talk About" is one of my most engaged-with journals. It went about as well as I expected. That said, it has not and will not discourage me.
My beliefs on the political stage are a big part of who I am not only as a person but as a writer and a member of this community. Being silent about important issues that directly impact this fandom serves nobody. For this reason, I will continue to speak about these issues as I see fit.
