Okay, I'm just gonna start out by saying that this is gonna be a real long-ass blog. Definitely the longest one yet. I've got a lot to cover, so let's get into it, shall we?
-but I don't understand this site's submission policy regarding things like Sci-Fi. I totally understand that space-age, high-tech space-shooty things are not seen in MLP, but how am I supposed to convey that this is indeed MLP related, despite it taking place in the far future, and thus having nothing but OCs?
I can be this annoying
So, much to my surprise, my last blog actually had some success with getting people into my Discord. By which I mean about two people joined, but one of them is so active all on his own that's it like a whole new world in there, crazy stuff.
Hello, dearhearts! Golden here with good news from the brass up top: I've finally finished Chapter 8, tentatively titled Of Soldiers, after two weeks of waffling about trying to figure it out. It's a big one, too, weighing in at a hefty 11,861 words. It's an academy record!
So, I just beat Ultra Necrozma in Ultra Sun, and I am now on my way to the Pokemon League.
And my current Team is Primarina, Lycanroc (Dusk), Blaziken, Venusaur, Zekrom, and Lunala. (Yes, two legendaries that I transferred from Pokemon Bank. And I also transferred all my Battle Tree Pokemon, my starters, all my fossil Pokemon, and the Legendaries I can't get in Ultra Sun. So, yeah. Sue me that I jumped from 15 percent to 70 percent on my pokedex in about ten minutes. I dare you.)
And I guess some Chapter XII chat, too?
No no no, but look.
FANART
Scroll down if you're impatient to see it. I've got a story to tell with this first.
Today I have two stories. Yes, only two stories. Did you know these take a very long time to write? I'm not sure how Titanium Dragon does it, but yikes. Anyway, what to promote.
*Read this blog by me - It refers to a contest which I want to participate in, but probably won't. Might just write something like that anyway, but we'll see.
Hey, hey, people. Gold here. It's been a fair while since I got an update out, for... reasons. Not good reasons, I guess, but you know how it is.
I know I haven't been active around here lately -- kinda fell out of the habit of everything during the pandemic, including writing. But I'm still forcing myself out the door for conventions every once in a while!
Case in point: I'm in San Francisco this weekend for Babscon, doing my not-actually-patented Drunken Pony Tarot Readings and mostly just kicking it and seeing what other authors are around. Come say hi!

I've added a few key sentences to the fourth paragraph of the last chapter. The story was missing an explicit description of why The Price was significant, and I think this makes the meaning of the story much clearer.

The roving science fiction and fantasy convention known as Worldcon — home of the Hugo Awards, and attractant for a giant glob of professional SFF authors, creators, and fans — is in California this year! It’s been on my bucket list for a while, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to go when it was right in my backyard.
Howdy, cluckers. Golden here with your standard mid-draft blog post. The good news—well, there's a fair bit of good news today, really. No bad news that I can think of, but if that changes by the time I finish writing this, you'll be the first to know. Trust me.
Hey, guys! Golden here with your regular inter-chapter check-in. I know I said I was hoping to get 20 out today, but after 19 ended up being delayed by like four days it was pretty clear to me that getting 20 drafted, edited, and published in time would be a pretty big rush job, so I thought I'd take the week off.
Not like totally off, of course. I've got a lot of side story stuff in the works, so I've been taking this small break from writing to focus on them.
I just realized I got overly ambitious, to a ridiculous level. I really like the series Log Horizon (the anime, I haven't read any of the written works yet), so much so I started using some of it as a template for both a story and a game. The game aspect is where realized where I started seeing just how immensely ambitious I was making the game; if you are interested PM me and we'll discuss it where there's less chance of getting overheard. I won't get into specifics, for various reasons, but I
Say what you will about Project Horizons, that was just too cute not to make a small little animation out of...
