I'm not exactly sure what happened. I suppose it's just the knowledge of how close I am to wrapping up this second act and, thereafter, the home stretch to the finish. I ran the monster math, pulled the graveyard graph, and concluded that SH will end by Chapter 30 (plus an epilogue) at the latest. And knowing that, with the path set out before me, I guess I just really wanted to get started on it.

So here I am, another chapter drafted (9.7k words), having just sent it off to the editors after staying up through all the night and all the dawn, with your "regular" heads-up announcement that I hope to have it out on Friday.
Now I know that normally I update on Fridays, but when I was looking over the chapters for SH I saw that I published the first chapter on May 7th, 2019. That was about four days ago, and after a few frenetic days of coffee and writing, I've just managed to get this next chapter out in time for the story's anniversary! Just over 200k words written in a single year, which is three times the speed of EH! And we're in the last several chapters of SH now—I'm guessing eight more at the most—so soon

Everybody's doing it. I've been kinda on the fence about whether I wanted to do this whole "year in review" thing, which is probably why it's coming out on the 2nd instead of the 1st like it properly would. But everyone else is doing it, and there's no better time for it, so why not?
Hey, guys! Golden here with your regular inter-chapter check-in. I know I said I was hoping to get 20 out today, but after 19 ended up being delayed by like four days it was pretty clear to me that getting 20 drafted, edited, and published in time would be a pretty big rush job, so I thought I'd take the week off.
Not like totally off, of course. I've got a lot of side story stuff in the works, so I've been taking this small break from writing to focus on them.
Greetings, little flowers! Once again I come to you with a message of "wow, hey, it's been a while, huh?" I'm not really sure what happened with this chapter, but it was totally kicking my ass. I knew what I wanted to happen, but it wasn't quite coming out straight, and all three of the involved scenes (featuring Twilight, Rarity, and Rainbow) had to be rewritten after initial reviews. Who knows—maybe I'll have to do it again! I sure as hay hope not, though.
Hello, airponies! Goldenwing here just checking in to let you know what's up with me and assure you that I haven't forgotten about you. Chapter 23 is halfway done, though admittedly most of that half was written at the start of this month. I really want to get it out before the end of the month if nothing else, cause if not that'll mean I went all month without an update and, thusly, my patrons paid me for nothing. That'd be quite bad.

Business first. XXXI: Of Resurrections is being released alongside this blog. Nine months is a long wait, and it shouldn't have taken me this long, but alas here we are. I think it's a pretty good chapter! It's been reviewed by no less than five of my editors, with a sixth unfortunately being too busy with work to get more than a quarter of the way through it. I'm very excited to see what everyone thinks.
You ever have that moment where you're writing something, and you're so into it, and you're so looking forwards to what's about to happen, that you're just sitting there shaking in your seat like an idiot, struggling to type the words out?
Normally in these blogs I'd include a couple other things about what I'm up to. Y'know, video games, movies, whatever. Frankly, I've got none of that for this blog, because I've been so focused on getting through these next few chapters.
