Once again persistent effort proves rewarding. The Equestria Daily WTG prompts for Party Pooped struck me as unappetizing fodder. If anything, I thought it at most an opportunity to write something really short, like barely 1000 words short. So tonight I may not have anything for you guys. I ache, I'm sore, fighting off a migraine, and though I know I should write Cadence's bridal shower story I can't really muster up any energy. Work really put me through the wringer and I think the only part of me that isn't sore are my feet - which is odd, considering I was on my feet for nine hours in heels. Turning 24.

I'm still breathing, writing, and dreaming of how to incorporate my thoughts to my current stories. I have little time to really pause, and cherish the moments I have and experiences I've learned and yet, somehow this song just forces me back to my childhood when I love to question everything. Call it a temporary pause button.

Part of this might be burnout: I've been writing several thousand-word chapters almost every week since the start of the year and I'm a little tired at the moment. Also, there's something I want to focus on with Agate, since it has something to do with a later chapter. Third rewrite for the next chapter, Prey, is currently in progress.

My muse has been extremely stingy lately and as a result it has taken far longer than I feel it should to squeeze out something comparatively simple. I am still committed to remaining narratively and militarily sound in my writing. Trying to do that alongside keeping everyone in character -- development and all -- is difficult, especially for such a long-running story.
