Okay, so some of you might be wondering why not story in a long while. First off, this post is only in regards to Roses. I have different reasons for the others. Anyway, the big hold up from me putting out another chapter is OCs. More specifically I need to decide on mane and body colors for three OCs and name one more who won't be showing themselves yet. This has stopped me from writing the chapter at all and it has finally reached the point where I'm thinking that maybe I should cut the chapter all together so I can keep the story going. This of course creates some problems. One, I'm just putting off the problem for later and two, this was a chapter focusing on Deimos and I was hoping for some character building.
This is why I'm posting about this. I'm wanting some opinions. Should I cut the chapter or should I ask for some help with those ideas regarding the characters?

If you recall an earlier chapter where Deimos was visited by three ponies. Well, those are the OC's. I already have their names. One is the warlock named Misery and the other two are her stallion lackeys; the twins named Scorn and Thorn. The final OC that needs to be named was Julius' teacher and Master.

I don't know what you plan on Julius' teacher or how his character is, but it sounds like he is a anti-Celestia, maybe 1000 years old? Someone she and Luna knew (pupil)? or an frend of Starswirl? So I would take a name that's not to dark. To bad i am not really creative, sorry. But I still try to help even if I'm dead wrong

He's more of a shadow and a teacher. Very dangerous, but almost never fights himself.
How about the two brothers have coats almost the same color a light gray and a slightly darker one, they have the same manecut one light brown that darkens near the tips the other a uniform brown. In dark lighting it's very difficult to tell them apart.
Misery on the otherhand , I originally imagined her cutiemark as a grinning/laughing skull, then I changed it to a teardrop but I couldn't think of a good picture, so I transitioned to a (sideways?) heart made out of stone and (lightly) wrapped in chains.
As for Mane a coat colors originally I though to go for irony with something bright or cheery, But decided a theme more Dark Snowy Night, maybe coat ice blue and the mane dark blue almost black that lightens to barely dark blue (and throw in a thin red streak?)
That was my two cents, what were you thinking on looks?

I probably should have mentioned this, but was wanting to avoid chapter spoilers, Misery is the head of the Warlocks and is a very mean, angry, and easily pissed. For the twins they're demons in disguised so I was thinking fiery colors.
For looks, I was thinking emo hair for the twins where they have an opposite symmetry where their hair covers the opposite eye on the other. As for Misery I was thinking something long spiky hair similar to... I think it was Flitter?

He's very... I guess you would call him a Planner. His full title would be Dark Master <insert name here>. He's considered the best teacher the covenant has to offer and is very careful and meticulous when taking students. He only teaches to students who show promise and have potential. Which makes Julius somewhat of a disappointment after he went into hiding. However, it does give him hope that he's becoming more involved now.
Anyway, I'm somewhat leaning towards Shade, but not sure if that would be good enough.

As for the demons I like the emo mane cut maybe ash gray and ginger? You could squeeze a terrible/great ginger joke out somewhere

I was also thinking reds, yellows, and oranges. Have the reverse colors on the twins.

So the coat and mane both are just a mix of orange/red/yellow that's cool
