Almost caught up on THE MASTER LIST. Just have to get through the the two other threads for the Goodfic Bin, the backlog of my own reviews, and... there was something else...
Oh yeah, a certain unnamed reviewer's gigantic contest blogpost. Grr. Actually, I need to go actually bookmark that so I don't forget it.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, come witness the world-title pay-per-view event of the century! A grammatical aspect versus an entire mood! Two heavyweights will enter the ring but no of course that's not what I'm talking about this is a blog about Integral Archer's story Subjunctive!
One of the reasons I occasionally do blog searches on FimFiction is I occasionally run across review posts I would have missed. hawthornbunny has done two random story review posts.
I started off this week's reviews with a story that had been in my "Old Favorites" folder for a long, long time. At long last, I am emptying that folder with the review of today's story: White Box by Chromosome.
I'm finally done!
The Immortal Game by AestheticB: the audiobook which took up the fast few weeks of my reading time. I can't think of another story I've heard so much about and read so little of over the years. Formerly Ponies Make War, it's a beloved classic of the grimdark, mature-rated-for-gore sort.

Managing to post every day on the other blog for a few days now. Hopefully will be able to keep up with it. Going to post a couple of these catch-up posts to avoid one giant list of post links. There are about a dozen posts on the other blog since the last catch-up post after all.
No beating 'round the bush this time. Here it is, up front and center! (Might be taking a few cues from my dear Toku fan Layton13 here.)
Okay, let's get down to business. I spotted this fic a while back, and being who I am, I knew I had to review it at some point. After all, huge Super Sentai and Toku in general fan here. I mean, hello, this was my territory!

Hums Bon Jovi's Runaway Fitting, given the themes of this story really. It's a short little thing, just a one-shot barely topping 1,200 words. Not really impressed from the start by that amount, but who knows, maybe I'm wrong. Shall we?
Deciding to review this story today because knighty read it during the charity livestream. I have to admit, this reader leaves something to be desired. His continual looking back and forth between the story and the game lead to some awkward pauses, not to mention the annoying Poultronlittle girl in the background who keeps talking over him. Going to give this guy a reluctant pass. (Secondary reading by

I'm not sure if Somber's Rarity's Rodeo is a huge name in this fandom, but it is definitely the story that introduced me to the possibilities of Rarijack as a ship, so I owe it a lot. :) Originally published in 2011, I read it back in the day and took until now to realize, I do definitely need to read it again.
Something I'd been contemplating recently was diving into the "Anon-a-Miss" trend that's been sweeping the featured box for the last year and change. And then my hand was tipped, so it was time to delve the seedy underbelly of Fimfiction and find out what the big deal was.
