The writers of FIM made sure to include slang into their world building. For instance, Applejack often address her younger sister, Applebloom, and her friend, Twilight, as "sugarcube".

Spike At Your Service has a new chapter out, and has another soonish. I was waiting on some cover art that never came and was hoping to put the new chapters out with some fancy new threads, hence the delay.
Project Sparkle updating soon.

IN WHICH I PERSEVERED AND DID SOMETHING
First off, thanks so much to everybody who favorited Friendship Doesn't Pay the Bills! I'm so happy with it's success (well, successful for me at least), and I am so glad it made people laugh. I want to get into writing out comedy stories more often, although I know that I have been fairly slow in getting it out there. I tend to stew for a while and demand to have these long projects. It can make it hard to see it through to the end, but FDPTBS did get finished and I'm glad it was worth

So, within the last few weeks I hit a few fantastic firsts. They're small, but hey! They're cool.

Also this character is a bear.
Maybe I can NOT play Overwatch for a while...
If you are now, or where at some point, a service man or woman, I salute you for all that you do to make the US safe and allow us to enjoy the freedoms we do. Also, big thanks for giving me the day off to catch up on some stuff.
Stay classy.
Hey y'all, as I'm working on making the buffer of updates for various stories, both current and upcoming, I've hit something of a dilemma regarding how to properly categorize one. I generally like to give content warnings if what I write in a teen or mature story is Especially Fucked Up and the sort, particularly if the rest of the story doesn't contain those kinds of real-life fucked up-ery elements and is more traditional fantasy world content. However, with one particular story I'm working
