Going by my current plans, the chapter that directly follows the next chapter of Pony-Me will be the first of three possible endings. This first ending will then be split from the main story timeline as an alternate plot sequence, while the story itself continues on. My thoughts of the Season 5 finale reminded me of Dexter's Lab: Ego Trip. Every change in the past resulted in a progressively worst future. It is nice to see all our favorite baddies again (and for me, it's nice to see Zecora get all badass). The song at the end would fit more to Sunset Shimmer though.
