And we're back once more with the next installment of The Writing of The Bonds of Love!
Today, we're discussing the very first chapter of The Bonds of Love, and was it the bang most stories are expected to begin with? Well…? We’ll see as we go on.
But to start things off now, we’ve already got a major cut concept to discuss, so let's dive on in!
~ The Diary That Never Was ~
OH YEAH BABY IT'S COMING
The latest chapter of Set Sail has the greenlight from the editing crew! I will be making one more pass through it on my own before it drops, but expect that probably tomorrow.
Sorry it took so long but this chapter is longer than usual so you better enjoy it or so help me i will cry
It finally happened. It was a long time prevented, but now it finally happened, my first fic for Silverstream is written and released!
Greetings, my fellow readers and calendar dwellers. The grand moment has come..... My last next two fics have been released! One of them is the long-awaited "Critter Snow Day", my ponified reinterpretation of the movie "Groundhog Day", I'm talking about for months now.
#2 on the list is my second fic for Silverstream, a long and on-going multi-chapter fic with the title "The Marvelous, Life-Changing Discoveries of Silverstream, the Hippogriff".
Behold! The best chapters in the entire story! I’m not exaggerating; the Mount Aris arc is fantastic! And you have Great White Prime to thank for its existence.
So... I'm noticing that it's taking me a while to get around to making actual cover art for I Thought You'd Never Ask.
I was hoping to go with something abstract, like the first story, but this time representative of five-to-seven nations: Yaks, Griffins, Hippogriffs, Changelings, Dragons, and possibly Equestria and/or the Crystal Empire. Since it's not getting done, I figured I'd at least ask: does anypony here want to help me with the cover art? It would be very much appreciated!
And we're back! Due to apparent word count limitations, this chapter's discussion required it be split into separate posts, and today I bring you the second half, containing the oh so tumultuous resolution to Gallus and Grandpa Gruff's fued. Let's not waste anymore time and get right on into it!
~ Never Break the Chain ~
And we’re back for the final part of the Ch.15(Family, Part Two) discussion!
The story so far: After a grueling impromptu therapy session, Gallus has finally won Ocean Flow’s approval, and the duo now races toward the surface world to inform Silverstream of this glorious development, alongside an explanation for why such approval was refused for so terribly long…
Yeah, all the main six had classes of their own, so why not give one to Spike. Is it because he has no clue what he's doing? Maybe, Smolder is certainly going to find out.

For those who didn't get the messages about it, I've finally begun dropping the first chapters of I Thought You'd Never Ask, the sequel to the well recieved What's Your Problem?. This one has a much grander scale, and will follow the Young Six, and everypony at the school of friendship through a series of field trips to the neighboring
Ah, Ch.11(Closure). For a while, I considered this to be the best chapter of The Bonds of Love, even better than the Smolder and Mount Aris chapters. It’s not hard to see why—Ch.10(Home) did most of the setup concerning Gallus’ feelings toward Griffonstone, leaving Ch.11(Closure) to ride that setup and finally discuss his and Gruff’s relationship—something I’ve wanted to address since the very beginning with A Day for Family.
If you can picture my face, this is how I’d look before starting work in the office.
Alternate Title: Griffonstone — For obvious reasons. I didn’t go with it since I still preferred naming the chapters after their main themes.
Ch.10(Home) is weird for me because even though it’s one of the best chapters of the story, I feel far more passionate for the next chapter. Though I suppose that’s only natural when this is clearly a glorified Part One to Ch.11(Closure)’s Part Two. And yes, that does mean this was another chapter split incident, as are the next four chapters.
Alternate titles: Pessimism, Paranoia — Didn’t choose either, preferring to name it, not after Silver’s problem, but rather the solution to it.
Before I begin discussing this chapter properly, I just wanna say I feel so bad for Silverstream. I put her through so much crap in this story, it’s not even funny. But that begs the question why Silver’s story-line became what it is. To answer that we must first discuss what this chapter could have been.
We’re in the final stretch now, and there’s no better way to begin bringing this story to a close than the event we’ve been hyping up since the very beginning: Gallus and Silverstream’s 2nd Date.
This has been a long time coming, and you better believe I relished every second I wrote this chapter, especially since I could finally write the lovebirds being actually happy!
And at long last, we’re here: The Gallus/Ocean Flow scene. And of course, it gets a whole chapter dedicated to it!
I feel it best to begin by reiterating how Ocean Flow’s beach-side tirade was the very first thing ever conceptualized regarding the Mount Aris arc, becoming fully realized thanks to Great White Prime’s suggestions.
It’s always funny looking at this chapter with that old “I won’t let these chapters exceed 20k words again” promise in mind.
While the first half of the Mount Aris arc was dedicated to Gallus-Stream finally having a break from all the plot-mandated drama so they could actually bask in their love and affection, this half returns us to the status quo to resolve the last of that drama.
So, I have just finished writing my backlog for "The Sky is Gone" that I talked about in my Late Writing Plans for 2022! I have written down ten days worth of messages by Silverstream and 244 messages by her in total! Which means, the story is ready to be updated and to pick up releases again!
I’ve updated Trials of the Force! Chapter 17 is now posted and you can all go read it if you’re interested. It feels so good to see this story finally back from the dead. Enjoy!
