Day 6: 17th Century · 4:43pm Dec 6th, 2017

Some context for the following song: in England, Christmas was celebrated in a completely different way that would be near unrecognizable to us. Around this time for example, it was the equivalent of taking Mardi Gras and Halloween, throw both of them in the snowy December, add plenty of alcohol, some drunken mobs and that was Christmas in a nutshell. If anything, since the Medieval ages, the poor held up a practice in which they would go to the front door of some wealthy person to basically

Day 16: 1903 · 4:34pm Dec 16th, 2017

Chances are, many of you are probably aware of the operetta, "Babes in Toyland" by Victor Herbert. This age of fairy tales is unique as only a couple of years earlier, "The Wizard of Oz" was published. This story and it's music has been adapted for both stage and on film over the years, and even my introduction to it was from the Disney film from the 60's. And out of everything that I've seen, there was one piece that stood out to me to the point where I personally couldn't think of Christmas

Stay Indoors. Take a trip to Geneva · 10:09pm Apr 9th, 2020

How are you all coping at the moment?

Here in England, I am stuck at home, allowed out once a day for exercise. It has been a confusing past few weeks. Things I had been planning for months were abruptly cancelled, and I then had to quickly make new plans. I am fortunate that I have a place to live and have a job. I have been trying to assist some others unfairly threatened with redundancy, which is rather stressful, much more for them than me.

Big plans · 10:18am May 20th, 2018

I have big plans for FiMFiction, and for YouTube actually.

(Remember to look at that other blog post to join my Discord group.)

I'm not the most popular guy in the world, and maybe that's a good thing, but hey, you know what I'm good at? Being a dumbass, and helping people out. If that could be my job? Hell, I'd be up for it and might even be content until death with it.

This is my 100th blog post here on Fimfiction, and its contents are rather significant. Worth celebrating? I’d say so, but I wish it wasn’t a step I believed I needed to take to begin with.

Day 20: 1958? · 5:16pm Dec 20th, 2017

Now there's some debate about this particular carol. Especially about when exactly this tune was written. Some would say that it was jotted up around the 1940's while others say that it is as late as 1955. But regardless, the thing that this carol stands out among the others was the author. Her name, was Katherine K. Davis, a forgotten composer who has only this carol in which people remember. If anything, this carol was stolen and was up on the radio. Fortunately, her credit was restored, and

Halloween Podcast (Part 1) · 5:08am Oct 30th, 2017

Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

recently I and a few others in the cast of Inverno in F Minor decided to have a sort of Halloween/Nightmare Night party in which we take turns in telling dark stories. Down below, I read aloud (in my best Southern Accent) Eager Allen Poe’s “The Raven.” (Starting at around the nine minute mark.)

Signed,

I'd like some feedback from those of you who watch these things: would you rather watch heavily edited montages like this, or would you prefer the much longer raw game streams? (Note: this sixteen-minute video was edited down from about one hour and forty minutes of raw stream.)

BTW, I posted the unedited Serial 10-chain as its own thing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJsC3yb7RNU

About two hours edited down to one:

And making this took me TEN HOURS of editing (less meal breaks). And I'm still learning how to do this.

Anyway, enjoy me pretending to coach ponies across an obstacle course parked on a spaceplane runway.
