Let's be honest, this mechanic is just a gimmick. Switching perspectives every other chapter wasn't a good idea.
What taking this mechanic away will bring:
- Better pacing
- More omniscent and descriptive language
Since I already watched the series finale the other night (and was spoiled on a couple details prior to that), I already have a plan in mind for a Teen-Rated story that involves Discord after the events of Episodes 24 & 25. The oneshot will be published sometime in the next few days, and is currently In-Progress to read on my Official Patreon Page. I have about 1,000 words written so far, but I intend on writing out a lot more tonight:
About to go to bed and I figure I'd give an update. I'm about half ways done with Harry's part in day two and I'm finally getting to some action. If you're not familiar with the Dresden Files, it's action heavy with a lot of magic slinging and fighting with supernatural beings. So far, it's been kind of minimal in the story, but as I've been saying it'll start taking off the second day in. And now it has. This is yet another episode with a botched message. Discord tricks the Mane 6 into going on a fake map quest, so he can harass Starlight at the school. Twilight put Starlight in charge, not bothering to hire more teachers while the Mane 6 are away. Quite a massive oversight. But it is the least of the episode's problems.

I've been trying to locate a Star Trek crossover story that focuses upon the crew of the USS Enterprise-D ending up in the reality of Equestria thanks to Q's (Discord's) machinations, but the whole matter isn't an issue regarding Discord (this was written before Keep Calm & Flutter On was broadcast). I'm sure I favourited it at one point but I can't seem to find it in my Bookshelves and either I can't get the hang of navigating fimfetch or it's not on there.
It's too late for me, run while you still can! Ro-romance. is killing. me.
Nah, so, just want you guys to know that the next... several updates are going to be rather strange. Not for you--okay, maybe for you, but for me it's gonna be a kick in the ass.
I don't know how, why or when, and I certainly don't care who, but I think I might... start a few more one-shots? Romantical, fugly, one-shots. Yes, I'm being serious.
This is why I search for G5 Discord stories. Discord in G5 just raises so many questions that will be disappoint to never find an answer to.
While Discord has always been a mystery — typically with his origins and species — G5 just makes him even more of a mystery. Fred Jones would be proud. Or excited. Or a conspiracy theorist.
