A problem I've had in the past was player progression. Not that they wouldn't progress but rather that they would get too wrapped up in the silly parts to move themselves forward. I tried throwing in random battles but that made the game even slower if anything. I've had them interrupted by interesting NPCs or by natural events, but that often just caused more distraction. So, thanks to a generous supply of motivation vis-a-vis a small money donation, I have been chugging along updating the Big Master Review List here and there. Trying to do at least one review post a day. Just today I actually updated the main info page for it on my profile here and once again got smacked in the face with the numbers involved. It's so easy to just kind of glance at things when copy/pasting authors, titles, links, typing out PresentPerfect's screen name for the 5,000th time.
