    Sincere Shilling!

If you like D&D stuff, or just tabletop rpg stuff in general, one of the people I follow online is trying to get funding to create something to sell for Dungeon Masters to increase immersion.

    Happy Holidays

This is your yearly reminder that I wrote a decently funny Christmas story in the long-ago times. If you haven't read it, you should! If you have read it, maybe you should just stick with blurred memories of how good it was.

    Books!

So, due to my high level connections here and there, I now have an advance copy of several highly sought after ponyfic books. Now that I've had a chance to check several of them out in person, I have to say that Ponyfeather Publishing does excellent work. Anyone able to pick one up, at Bronycon or ordering them afterward, should totally do so.

Last Week on City Of Doors 7/7/2019

So, I've actually been posting on my primary blog lately. Which has been nice, given that I've pulled myself out of depression enough to actually do stuff like that. So, here's been my daily content over there:

Big Master Review List update · 10:16am Jul 31st, 2017

So, thanks to a generous supply of motivation vis-a-vis a small money donation, I have been chugging along updating the Big Master Review List here and there. Trying to do at least one review post a day. Just today I actually updated the main info page for it on my profile here and once again got smacked in the face with the numbers involved. It's so easy to just kind of glance at things when copy/pasting authors, titles, links, typing out PresentPerfect's screen name for the 5,000th time.

As of writing up this post, the mind-boggling numbers are as follows:

Authors - 3,223
Stories - 8,499
Reviews - 14,803 (total)
Reviewers - 150+

The BMRL bookshelf here on FimFiction that I try to keep track of things and annoy authors with notifications says that the stories there add up to 160,240,042 words. That's probably only about 3/4ths of the total amount and doesn't factor in how several reviewers have read the same stories.

Also, the fact that so much ponywords have been written, then so many people have read and expressed opinions more nuance than a simple cool/sucks that the list of all of them is a sprawling 15,000 entry spreadsheet always makes my brain explode for a moment when I think about it. In addition that several people have enjoyed and used said spreadsheet enough to toss a few bucks to help me keep working on it just blows my mind all over again. So, thanks to everyone who writes, reads, and supports ponyfic in all the niche-y niche ways it can be enjoyed.

I really do think I'm going to print out at least one physical copy of the spreadsheet to bring to Bronycon, just for the novelty of it. Of course it'll be barely readable at the size that the horizontal measurement will fit on a single page. I even considered just doing it all as one long poster... But the math is not on my side. Even if each entry was 1/100th of an inch it would still be around 7.5 feet long.

It's disgusting to think that I have personally read over half the stories on that list.

'Bout to hit 4400 reviews! :B

New life goal:
- Become Sultan-of-Dubai rich.
- Build a skyscraper with a 750-foot-tall foyer.
- Acquire coolest possible single-sheet-printed poster.

On the other hand, you are only about 1/4th of the total reviews!

It is the ultimate modern product! Bulky, missing all of the features of the online version, and outdated within seconds of buying it!

4619032
And a working command platform so you can type in an author/story/reviewer name and have it take you up, like how those fancy new vending machines do. And when you touch the poster, a holographic screen comes up with the review.

You could just join the Evil League of Evil and help us take over the world.

Giant lasers on the Moon are in this year, I think.

I need to get back in the saddle. I'm falling further behind!

When you try to compare review numbers with PresentPerfect, there is only falling behind.
