"Day nine of NaNoWriMo. The words are flowing well and the stories are beginning to take shape, but at the same time, I feel a nervous tension in the air. I had to burn the last of my planning documents to fuel the fire, so I'm travelling without a map - nothing but a pen and paper and this rusty old compass to guide me. I feel like I'm making progress though. Let's just hope no-one asks me what the story's about..."

Just thought I'd drop by and address recent things, both personally and abroad.
First off, I just got back from a weekend vacation in Pennsylvania with the family. We had a good time, all things considered. Went to Longwood Gardens, watched Queen Esther at Sight and Sound theater. Not our most extravagant vacation, but I think we needed it. Helps that we haven't actually had a vacation like this in a couple years.
For those who haven't seen it, Equestria Daily are running a National Pony Writing Month event (link). If you're taking part in the event, see the blog post and send them an email with your details. I believe they do a compilation post after the month with links to what everyone's managed 
Apparently, they're also giving out free writing advice each week, so get right on that!
The Mad-Lib writing proved to be a lot of fun for me, so hopefully we can have some similar events in the future. Something to fill in the gaps that tend to occur between my larger, more involved story submissions.
For this first Mad-Lib event there were 42 entries. Also, because I couldn't pick just one, I decided to go beyond my original promise and select four submissions.
Hey guys! Fresh back from day 1 of the LTUE writing con and feeling good! So I decided, hey, why not give some prospective readers another sample of something from Unusual Events? And why not from one of my favorite stories in the set?
So, here it is, a look at the first chapter of Unusual Events‘ novella: SUPER MODEL.
Well, it's officially been one year since the original release of The Equestrian Event! In that time, I've written nine chapters. That's twenty-two thousand, nine-hundred and ninety words total. Almost 63 words a day... I think I can do better. 
I have submitted Pokemon-Event Horizon and it should be up soon!

Next Monday is New Years Day and with a new year will come new stories that I will work on.
