    Stream Thursday

I'm going to pick up where I left off yesterday on Thursday. I was originally going to continue tonight, but something came up that I had to address. Namely complications with my post-surgery care. My apologies if you were looking forward to my stream tonight. I'm still streaming "The Last Day of June" tomorrow as planned, as well.

    Hiatus Update

I'm sorry it's been so long since I gave y'all an update on my hiatus. Getting my life back in order hasn't been easy going or quick. As we speak, I'm on break at work. The job I have has me doing 12 hour work shifts constantly, five to six days a week. It's killing my debt fast.

    Quick update

This is going to be real brief. I'm through about half the items (that I had back in January) I wanted to get through before coming back. After what has happened now, though, I'm fairly certain I will be guided away from Fimfiction and through all these trials I face until July.

I'm Alive! · 9:31pm May 21st, 2017

I hope that you will forgive me for my sudden disappearance.

I'll try not to go too in depth with regards to what has happened this past month, but the short answer is as follows: a lot. There has been so much to process for my poor brain to handle that I haven't been able to put out an update for quite a while, and I sincerely apologize for the extended delay. I do wish to convey that, with my extended hours into the night working, that I have been needing a break. I was intending to take it after finishing Barren, but in light of some extenuating circumstances, this was simply not possible.

There were some things that my special somepony, Lome, and I had to work out. For quite some time, we had been steadily growing distant with one another in our relationship, and it finally got to the point where we had to spend a little while shutting everything else out so that we could catch up with one another. We definitely needed the break, because now we act like we're new couples again. It's great!

I personally would like to thank TheDizzyDan for being there for me to talk it through with him to discover what I needed to do to revitalize our friendship. He's been a real swell guy, and I can't thank him enough for all the help he has given me the past few months. If it weren't for him, I have no doubt we would continue down this path for quite some time, and with our wedding right around the corner no less.

Speaking of our wedding, it won't be long now. It is precisely forty-four days now. :pinkiehappy: Because of how close it is, I don't have quite as much time to working on other stuff as I'd like, but I'll continue to try to work on my projects (including collabs) in the weeks to come. As always, I have loaded myself with so much work, but I regret nothing.

One of the reasons for the long delay on Barren's release, though, apart from our extensive editing, is that I've had to rewrite its ending a number of times to create the lasting effect that I wanted to leave on you all, and I've toiled away at it to mitigate the plot holes that I had from the original draft.

As such, I'd like to commemorate princeps for his hard work in helping me through a large portion of the story's edits. He has not only given me the proofread that I have asked for, he has gone above and beyond to pave the way for me to a higher understanding of storytelling. He has taught me some skills that I can put to great effect in my stories to come, and I owe all my gratitude to him.

There are a few more things that have happened to me, such as another bout of depression. They have been coming and going for several years now, steadily diminishing as my life has picked up. With the range of emotions and events that have transpired this past month, I feel like I had experienced the last bout. It's a nice feeling and thought to not have to deal with it anymore. After having experienced it for going on fifteen years now, I never would have thought that it would one day just go away like that. This may be a false positive, but I genuinely feel that it is gone for good. And I have met so many wonderful people on here to thank for that. All of you! I love you all!

One final event that has transpired to cause the delay is the new trial run that I am officially starting today within the Reviewer Café. It's a very exciting opportunity for me to partake in, and I feel that there is so much for me to gain as an individual by going through with this. I'll not only be able to further the improvement of my own craft, but I will be able to help others do so as well.

In summary, I have not meant for the story's release to have been delayed by so long, but so many things happened to me this past month that invariably the project had to be temporarily shelved so that I could process all my life changing events. Now I can come back to it with a fresh mind. I will definitely release it in a couple of days, no matter what. I promise. Again, I apologize for the delay.

I am setting myself a hard deadline in a couple of days. It's time for me to move onto the other projects that have been sorely neglected. :rainbowwild:

I'm drafting up a invitation letter for my friend's clan tonight and then its on to finishing up what little I have left of the One Shot and letting my proofreader to glance over it afterwards.

Yeah, I joined his clan on a mmo game last week called World of Tanks. I am just now getting around to drafting up his invitation letter, which I've almost finished, and I believe that he will need an officer packet as well for any perspective new officers for his clan.

It's another minor thing that's taking up a little of my time, but not quite as much as the other stuff that I mentioned in the blog, so I didn't see any reason to mention it there.

By the way, I've missed you.
