North And South Chapters Seven and Eight · 5:55pm Feb 4th, 2023
Hey all, I forgot to do a blog post last week! I apologize.
Let's begin with session seven then, shall we?
Hey all, I forgot to do a blog post last week! I apologize.
Let's begin with session seven then, shall we?
So I'm not dead, and I'm bullying myself into writing again.
I'm happy enough with All Quiet On The Equestrian Front, and with me not being an active part of the EAW team anymore, I'd like to go ahead and let it sit as it is, complete enough for my tastes. I may go back to it at some point, but for now, consider it tentatively complete.
You know, some nights. Others I don't know because he's either out late working (all the freaking time), giggling with his girlfriend (all the other freaking times), or inexplicably not home. You know, regular roommate stuff.
Except that he's freaking Ponky.
Fast as lightning, sharp as a sword
"Equestria: Civil War" has now begun! Choose a side!
(Artwork by arcanelexicon! Thanks again!)
Also, the twentieth chapter--TWENTIETH!!--of "The Phantom Pony of Everfree" is up. Go read when you get the chance.
Would anyone be interested in my take on the Civil War at some point?
A sort of Harry Potter meets Game of Thrones pushed through MLP to be honest.
A few characters I've got planned.
Royal Equestria
Petal Periantha: A high-born student of Celestia, groomed to be the chosen heir to the realm.
Hardy Haybale: A peasant-born squire and student of Celestia.
Solomon Sunrisen: A mysterious prodigy and one of Celestia's best students.
Spring continues everyone, as we hit MARCH!
March sees me finishing a couple minor projects to improve my economy and research time, but most importantly, sees our first IMPORTANT subsidy fill.
Something I have been wanting to do in the future.
No real base foundation yet, just an idea for the future maybe. Not working on this actively, but I thought you might enjoy these small scenes I made for fun.
This takes place in an Equestria where the princesses were overthrown by the nobles, the mane six splitting up, and the princess of the sun and moon locked away in a vault to keep the day and night going.
Another comics fan fic. This one's about Marvel's Civil War.
Going a little nostalgic today.
Not many people can name many artists of yesteryear. There are some names that only comes up this time of year. Burl Ives is among them.
Probably best remembered for voicing Sam the Snowman in Rankin/Bass's "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", Burl was a folk singer whose career spanned much of the mid twentieth century.
One of, arguably, his most popular albums was "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" which featured the song of the same name.
...And it was one of the most in-depth ones I had there, too. It had a scenario and a short concept written out beside it.
Short to say, those are in use now...
For anyone who might've actually read over those titles, here's the one I yoinked: "Sunbeam".
Short to say, my upcoming story has just received a healthy injection of lore...
A bit blurry I know
Also don't take this pic at face value, there's no guarantee these characters will survive for a sequel!
'Nuff said.
Though I should probably finish the first Undesirables story first...
Hoo boy this one's been delayed a fair bit, my mistake y'all.
Not too much to talk about, the two battles mentioned in this chapter were both very short, very simple, and thus relegated to off-screen. I don't know why the CSA keeps throwing the same four corps (really two corps now in size, if I'm being honest) at me when they have two VERY large corps sitting across from Twilight and Trixie that could absolutely ruin my day, but I believe in gifts.
Welp, we've seen all the "Ponymon" stories and caught 'em all. Professor Oak would be so proud of us.
This week's a day late because we didn't want to take Turkey Day away from you. However, that doesn't mean you're off the hook completely. The stars just aligned so perfectly for this story.
"Look at your young men fighting
Look at your women crying
Look at your young men dying
The way they've always done before
Look at the hate we're breeding
Look at the fear we're feeding
Look at the lives we're leading
The way we've always done before
My hands are tied
The billions shift from side to side
And the wars go on with brainwashed pride
For the love of God and our human rights
Our look at "Three of Me: School Society" has finally concluded. What a fucking ride that story was.
This week, just in time for Pokemon: Let's GO to drop, we're wrapping up the Ponymon saga. Have fun with that.
