    Am I dead?

    No.

    Hello.

To answer the question, no I am not dead. I just wanted to reach out to you guys, and give you a quick update on everything. As some of you might have noticed, there is no new chapter yet, and for that I am really sorry. My life has been busy as of late, and it has been hard for me to find the time and peace of mind I need to just sit down and focus on writing.

Test Scenes For Future Project. · 5:15pm Nov 17th, 2022

Something I have been wanting to do in the future.

No real base foundation yet, just an idea for the future maybe. Not working on this actively, but I thought you might enjoy these small scenes I made for fun.

This takes place in an Equestria where the princesses were overthrown by the nobles, the mane six splitting up, and the princess of the sun and moon locked away in a vault to keep the day and night going.

This is inspired by Roman history, by a romanticized of the story of Gaius Julius Caesar.

Test Scene 1: Equestrian Senate.

"Quiet!"

The entire hall went silent, as all the nobles stopped yelling and looked towards the throne with the first consul of Equestria. "Friends, one at a time, I will not have this noble senate house become a mob of foals. Now, let us continue this assembly." He looked towards a plumb stallion and gave him a nod.

The stallion nodded back, and stepped out to the middle of the old throne room, which had once housed Celestia and Luna. Of course that time had passed, now it the senate that governed Equestria. "Consul, honored senators... Caesarion has killed 105.000 Griffons, he attacked peaceful villages, villages that pay tax to the Equestrian state. Its beyond toleration!"

"This is how you treat a great Equestrian General?" Another senator stood. "He has sent plenty of spoils back to Equestria. Are you saying you have not benefited from it?"

"That is not the point. the point is he has been away for three years fighting with his legions. He has doubled their salary, they are totally devoted to him."

A third senator stood. "I have told you before, and I will tell you again. This war of Caesarion is a crime."

"He is waging war for Equestria, we commissioned him to fight the Griffons."

"NOT ALL OF THEM!" The third Senator yelled in anger. "He started to fight the invaders by the northern border, but he has since moved on. Murder! Peaceful towns, and allies of Equestria that pays taxes and tributes to Equestria!"

"Caesarion is not Celestia or Luna. He isn't fighting Equestrians, he is fighting the Griffons. he is not threatening us, we are threatening him!"

The third stallion rolled his eyes. "When Caesarion was in the senate, how many times did he push through a law without having it ratified? Something has better be done, and right away."

The consul had finally had enough. "Do you fear he will march on Canterlot?"

The stallion sighed. "We all know of Caesarion's endless ambitions. Is it really so far-fetched to think he might see himself as king?"

Test Scene 2: The Vault

"The city is hours... The nobles has fled west, and if we act now we can catch up to them." Silver Blade said as he followed Caesarion down the dark halls towards the inner chamber of Canterlot Palace. "Why waste your time on something like... Like this?"

"I don't expect you to understand, Silver. However I would ask you do not question my decision in this." Caesarion said calmly as they reached the end of the large stairs. They came into a large room, witch a huge door of metal and iron.

"If you do this, nopony can answer for what they will do." Silver continued. "We have bled, fought and sacrificed for almost four years. Why risk all we have gained for them?"

Caesarion stopped in front of the vault, looking at the soldiers standing around. He did not pay his friend any mind. "Open it..." He simply said. A soldier saluted, and a group of them took a hold of the heavy doors and slowly opened them. the doors scraped against the stone floor, and with a loud screech they opened up.

When the doors opened, and revealed the chamber inside, everypony fell quiet. Caesarion stepped forward, to the very edge of the room he was in, looking at what he had sought. "Greetings... Your majesties..."

The sight before Caesarion gave him mixed emotions. The chamber ahead was large and round, the walls covered in magic runes, and a few magic touches that cast the room in a dim glow. In the middle of the round chamber were several silver chains, connected to the four thick stone pillars. There was enchanted, strong, and served to bind the princesses that had only ten years ago been overthrown.

The two alicorns were suspended from their chains, their heads hung low, their eyes covered. Their famed manes were no longer moving, but had returned to the form of normal ponies, and they looked tired, defeated, filthy, and yet strong, even now in their weakened state. Caesarion trotted inside, and Silver was just about to follow him when Caesarion held up a hoof, and waved him off. Once inside, the guards behind him closed the vault door, leaving commander alone with the two former royals.

"Who goes there..?" Said the youngest of them, Luna, princess of dreams and mistress of the night. Her voice was weak, but still full of outrage, anger, and pride. She did not move, neither did her sister, but Caesarion noticed their ears following him.

"Commander Caesarion, princess Luna."

"Princess?" Luna repeated, almost spitting out the word like it was venom. "What meaning does that word hold to you?"

"Nothing," he stated simply. "It holds no meaning to anypony these days."

"Have you come to mock us? To look at the former rulers of Equestria, bound and defeated, treated like slaves?"

"I do not come to mock you, no. I have come to offer you your freedom." Caesarion said, stepping closer to them.

"Why would you do that..?" It was Celestia, it was the first time she had spoken. Her voice was little, full of sadness, not anger like Luna's.

"Because I remember what it was like before the Republic, before you were betrayed by those you trusted." Caesarion explained, coming so close he could reach out and touch them if he wanted. "You were symbols, you can be so again."

"And what would you gain from this, commander?" Luna spat. "Do not take us for fools, if what you say is true, then you serve this Republic, yes?"

Caesarion shrugged, not that she could see it. "I did, I was in fact a member of the senate before I was forced out. Sent to deal with border disputes, which ended up benefiting me greatly. When they wanted me to disband my legions, and come back here to face charges of treason, illegal warfare, theft, bribery, and murder, I marched my legions to Canterlot, and simply took the city before they had a chance to react."

"You betrayed the very institution you were a part of?" Celestia asked.

"A failed institution. elections are nothing more a show for the masses, votes can be bought as easily as bread on the town market. Most laws benefit the wealthy only, and the mega plantation has swallowed up a lot of land, sending hundreds of now homeless farmers to the city. If Equestria is to survive, it needs to be reformed. You can be a part of that."

"You need us to stabilize your rule..." Celestia said, sounding sad about it. "How far my little ponies have fallen..."

"You can call it what you like, but the simple fact is that many still remember the old days. The glory days of your rule. Equestria needs a leader, but it also needs symbols they can look up to." Caesarion trotted closer to Celestia. "Wasn't that what you were for Twilight Sparkle?"

"Don't talk about her..." Celestia said, almost in anger. "You know nothing of what happened..."

Caesarion sighed. "Not the details, no... But I know the coup could not have happened without her help. Ponies still resent her for that." When they did not answer, he continued. "Equestria is now in a state of civil war, and I need you to help me save it from itself. If you join me you can be by my side, help make Equestria better than it was yesterday."

They did not answer, neither of them. Caesarion sighed. "I will be off in a few days to fight the nobles that fled the city. You have until then to decide, if you don't, the vault will be sealed once again. Please, don't make me do that to you."

"You would threaten us?!" Luna hissed. "Why not simply free us?"

"Because doing so would serve no purpose, it would be even more chaos, and Equestria would fall. Ponies are scared of the days to come, they need stability, and you cannot give them that alone, and I can only do it through martial law..." Caesarion turned around. "Think of it, I shall be back tomorrow to see if you have decided." And with a heavy heart, the young commander left the chained Alicorns to their thoughts.

There we go, hope it will fuel some imaginations out there.
